SemSem Mediterranean - Chicago Ridge Mall — Restaurant in Worth Township

Let me start by saying I LOVE Mediterranean food & eat it on a regular basis so I know how it should taste....... The food at this dump is horrible and the customer service is pathetic, I ordered a pita with Gyro meat and I am accustomed to it being freshly sliced not pulled out of a tray all dried out (in addition to not being warm) . I should have just walked away at that point but I thought I'd give it a chance because I was hungry and all the other lines were long (I now know why theirs was so short), when I went to pay the young girl already had something on the register and tried to charge me for someone elses drink. I alerted her of this she rolled her eyes said something to the owner who told me he would just give me a drink (no sir I don't want a drink I want you to delete the transaction and charge me for what I ordered). They started talking in another language (very rude & unprofessional in my opinion) and finally he reran my order. I took my food and attempted to eat it but it didn't taste right so I took it back and asked for a refund, he refused to give me my money back and said that the food is supposed to taste like that. As I was walking away he again started talking to the young girl very loudly in another language. Avoid this place like the plague unless you enjoy food poisoning!!!!!

Love this place! I know most people wouldnt think of top notch food coming from a mall food court, but this place is an exception and worth way more hype. I've done dine in, gotten take out and delivery and it's always consistent and delicious. I have been getting food from here for a while and I've yet to try something I havent liked. The very first time I happened upon this place I didnt know it was like a build your own sort of deal with you picking ingredients to add on, but the employees were super helpful and gave me their recommendations for what goes best. There used to be a female staff member who was incredibly kind. Their wraps, bowls and fries are fire. Like I said nothing is bad, you cant go wrong. All fresh, tasty portions. First timers, give the chicken shawarma...

The food was delectable, the seating was manageable, the price was reasonable. First of all, I loved the different customizable combinations of food you can do. It is very easy to make sure the food is tailored to your taste. Secondly, the food is quick, tasty, and healthy. There are lots of vegetables, protein, and healthy fats offered. Thirdly, the food is really good for the price, you're either leaving with a box or a full stomach. Since it's inside a mall, seating should not be judged. The only 2 complaints were the complexity of the menu, it took a while to understand how to order-- the employees were super helpful with that. -- and the plastic utensils that look like they came straight out of a plane.
