Frustrated and Disappointed. I thought I had found a nice little mom and pop pizza place, but after today I will definitely never be going back. After ordering my 2 slices and waiting 15 minutes, I went to check on them since they just reheat pre-made pizzas, and they had forgotten it in the oven and it was now burnt. I then asked for 2 fresh slices to be made and not any reheated due to the incovenience of the wait and being on a short lunch break. When they were done, they gave me a mini pizza, which although is nice, it is not what I ordered. I paid for and prefer the full slices due to their size and the slices are mostly actual pizza where the mini was mostly crust. I asked for a refund since now I am out of time for my lunch break, and no food....the owner tells me he can not refund my credit card? I have never had an issue in 20 years of anyone refunding a credit card, ever. I personally don't use cash for anything and so when he told me that was the only way he could pay me back I said that I thought it was odd he couldn't refund my card. He then tells me that I am being difficult and trying to cause a problem. I'm sorry if I was frustrated that I couldn't get 2 slices of pizza in less than 30 minutes and then a refund when that couldn't happen. Mind you they were NOT busy, only 1 table of 2 women in the restaurant at the time. I was shocked that this is the reaction of the Owner of the establishment. I would give a warning to anyone going here that the food is decent, but the service and attitude of the owner are much to be...
Read moreHorrible service. I don’t live here but a relative does. Last time I ordered months ago I was told my food wasn’t ready by the incompetent cashier without even checking, and I watched my food sit and get cold as they served multiple customers that walked in and placed orders much larger than my one sub and appetizer and be served before me. They realized my mistake and gave me my cold food without so much as an apology. Today I ordered a California Cheesteak sub with no tomatoes or sauce (which does not come on the sub anyways) due to a tomato allergy, when visiting my relative again, and once again waited 10+ minutes after my estimated pickup time, asked for a refund after waiting and given an attitude and told it was “almost ready” only to receive a sub with just tomato sauce and cheese, no mayo, or or lettuce as the sub was ordered. When I called the store to ask for a refund, I was accused of yelling at them when calmly asking for a simple refund, hung up on, and when I called back, the owner told me aggressively, in very broken English, that he would be waiting outside for me almost as if he wanted to fight me, and hung up on me again after swearing at me. Would not recommend unless you like extremely long wait times, incorrect orders and being talked to like dirt by the business owner. I was also the only patron in the store, they were not busy or swamped with orders. I saw half their staff standing around doing nothing...
Read moreWe've been on the hunt for the best pizza in York county, so we thought we'd give Marcello's in Wrightsville a try. Looks like an old Turkey Hill or something that got re-done into a pizza joint. Ordered 2 pizzas - large supreme, along with a large veggie pizza, along with some wings (gotta try the wings, right). What I'm looking for in the best pizza is great dough, good sauce, fresh & flavorful toppings, all held together with some delicious melted cheese. Marcello's won me over on several fronts. It was a very good pizza, and we'll definitely go back again. Only had 2 downsides to Marcello's: 1) they pulled one of the pizza's from the oven a little too early - could have used another 5 minutes or so of baking time, to just start to get the cheese turning a little golden brown, and cook the dough more thoroughly; and 2) not great dining ambiance - it's a converted turkey hill or something, and the noise from other patrons bounces all around the place. All totalled, it's still a place I'd go...
