Thursday, July 6th I was in GR for an appointment and I always get soul food when Out of town. I live about 2 1/2 hours away and ordered dinner for three 1/2 people spending almost $94. When i first went in and got my food I was in a bit of a hurry as they were closing. So i dashed off but it only took me about 20 steps to realize I only had a small potion of the food I ordered and paid for. It took them a bit to figure out what happened and a couple reasons were given. Regardless, they prepared (dished out) the order all over again. They didn’t offer much of an apology and absolutely made me feel like…..there was a rudeness to them for sure, Exocet for the young man working. He was polite, kind and opened the door for me every time I entered or left. At one point my order was being read off for a lady dishing it out and She was repeating herself several times cause the Other couldnt hear her I guess but wasn’t getting the order correct. So After a couple tries I simply repeated it correctly. To this, I was scolded told not to speak to her at the same time. Fast forward to sitting down with my family for dinner, we STILL didn’t get all the food we ordered!! We were missing an entire meal that had added things to it that were not cheap and two sides were missing!! I called but they were closed and couldn’t leave a message as it was full. Tried calling last night but no answer again. Sooo, I had to leave a review. As for the food….the cabbage was the best I’ve ever had and the Mac n cheese was real good. The pork chops were tough and stringy like and the greens (which is the most important) had it been my First exposure to em I wouldn’t have ever tried greens again. Bottom line: I was very pleasant from start to finish and I absolutely felt like I was treated poorly-start to finish. And The food-it was same level as the treatment-lacking and disappointing. $100 later and we still had to make ham sandwiches to add to our Mac n cheese and...

This restaurant is the true definition of HIT OR MISS. Been here a handful times and thought I found me a good ole “after church spot”. My first couple of visits both the food and customer service were both excellent. The other couple times on the flip side have made me question if I want to come back. Probably like my 3rd visit here I purchased two plates and both received hard yams. They also ran out of muffins and brought out another pan soon after which I’m sure was made with the hot water cornbread mix instead of a traditional cornbread muffin mix. It’s like they just rushed and made them with hot water cornbread mix just to get any old thing out. We didn’t complain because again, we’ve frequented this place and thought maybe it was just an off day. I haven’t been for a few weeks and decided I wanted some good eats after church today. I had my elderly grandmother waiting for me so I decided we would just get take out. I went with the baked chicken meal for myself and the rib tips meal for her. Both with yams and Mac and cheese. YAMS=HARD AS A ROCK. AGAIN! I don’t know who’s making the yams at this place but PLEASE cook them longer! The ribs were fatty and tough and just did not look or taste pleasing. My chicken had a very pungent fishy odor which I couldn’t tell if it was because it was alongside fried fish on the line or if the smell was because it was rotting. EITHER WAY! It turned me COMPLETELY OFF so much so that I drove all the way back across town and politely asked for my $50 back. If you’re trying this place out scope out the food before you actually purchase it. Again, this is one of those places that’s considered HIT OR MISS. Keep your fingers crossed cause you don’t know...

First off let me say this me and my husband has supported them prior to hiring them for our wedding reception and the food was not bad so we love to support our black owned businesses and so we hired them to cater our reception bad idea, We paid 3000 and we know what for our contract was not honored at all the food was dropped off 2hrs early the catering service didn’t come with anything no servers no linen which it was suppose to no racks for the food no burners all of these things we had to provide for ourselves, The fried chicken was too big should have been cut in half it was dried out it was not enough sides for 200 people. Punch was suppose to be made and it wasn’t we was brought 3 Hawaiian punches and 1 7up which we had to make the punch ourselves the container that was sent for the punch had a hole in it not enough punch for 200 people again what did we pay 3000 dollars for we feel like we was robbed by our own people we trusted them to make or day special but it was ruined our guest was disappointed and we are hurt by this. We also hired them to do the bartending and the guest said that they was rude and over charging this day was suppose to be special for us but it wasn’t, Me and my husband will take futher actions professionally to see what we can do cause we don’t see what we spent 3000 dollars on and to make sure this never happens to...
