Sweets Boutique Specialty Bakery — Restaurant in Xenia

I had a very bad experience. I ordered a surprise birthday cake a week and a half earlier then date needed. They told me the cake would be ready by 1 PM but I had until 5 PM that day to pick it up. Because this is the very first party I ever planned before, I called on the day it was suppose to be made just to make sure that everything was still good to go and they told me the cake would still be ready by 1 but I had to pick it up by 2 PM now because they decided to close at 2 now and not stay open until 5 like they originally told me. Of course this threw everything in the air because I had already made other plans but the owner copped an attituide with me and said they would just refund me my money leaving me with no cake for party, who does that. I will never do business with this company again and I would strongly advise others to thank twice about using them. * In response to the owners response they never offered to deliver it to my house. I did not order the cake for a 1 PM pick up, somebody there wrote that down because all I was told when I ordered it was they would have it read by 1 but I had until 5 PM to pick it up. I never pointed my finger in anyone's face I was holding a big cake in my hands so that is not true. And as for me being upset the day I went in to the bakery to pay the deposit, the incompetent employee kept screwing up my order and my name and it took them 20 minutes just to find my order so I could pay for it. Then she decided to talk to a couple that had already paid for there food about a vacation that they were on. All I asked is if I could get rang out because I had groceries that needed to stay cold in my car. I never raised my voice and as for it being the busy time of day for them that hilarious because there was 5 customers in the place and that...

For lunch I ordered from them a Bacon and Swiss Sandwich, which came with my choice chips and a cookie. The cookie seemed to be a Chocolate Chip Toffee(?). It was a little dry but tasted good and would pair well with a coffee or milk. The sandwich had a good chew-ability, with it having a hint of salt and the Swiss made for a good undertone, the bacon was amazing and just crumbled when you bit into the sandwich. It pairs well with orange juice or water. I was disappointed to find that the chips were not kettle cooked, which I believe would've went much better with the sandwich, but overall 7.5/10 meal. Sandwich: 9/10, Cookie; 8/10, Chips: 6/10.

If you are looking for someone to cater an event, I would highly recommend Sweets Boutique. Bridget went over and beyond our expectations for our daughter’s wedding with both the cake and the catering. From the initial consultation to the end of the reception, we were guided step by step resulting in a successful event. The menu was cheese and fruit tray appetizers, assorted bread, mixed greens, bake potato bar, chicken kabobs and slaw dogs. She also made a cake and cupcakes that went with the space theme of the wedding. Not only were we pleased by the quality and quantity of the food, we received many compliments from our guests...
