Shawnee Park — Attraction in Beavercreek Township

I’m not the sort to complain, especially about public things. But I’ve noticed a sort of putridness that clings in the air on humid days like the ones this summer. I went with my friends to take a walk around the pond and we came across one of the old concrete drainage pipes to the river. It was clogged up with some debris of branches and trash and a few dozen rotting fish. I tried to take a picture of some of the living wildlife a bit later when a friend pointed out a vibrant yellow fish which ended up being a mustard bottle. When the rain finally came we ducked into the closest building but it was hard getting the bathroom door open as someone had stuffed all their clothes right beside the doorway. But the scratched up and vulgar bathroom sign of being filmed did make us chuckle. Its a great place with a nice veiw especially when you look of from the white stand andbin the winter they set up this amazing light show for Christmas they even go and have a raido station set up for itand you are able to see it all from the window of youre car or from a bench out side with the perfect veiw of it in the small parcking lot as the lights glitter acrost the water and its even a beautiful place in the other sesons to as a great place to relax or take a run etc. The ducks wont bother you at all unless you mess with their childreny only problem with it is that SOME people are rude and leave trash were ever they go but its be taken as great care of by mostly everyone in the community around so stuff like faat food leftovers and other trash is cept to a...

Shawnee Park is an excellent park to go to as children loooove to play . Parkings near as well ,a fountain/bathroom if needed . Restroom s are surprisedly clean and to lol ... New playground equipment with a beautiful pavilion which is used by the community for birthday parties and things like that. Also a music lights special, Easter egg hunt ,catch n release too... Law enforcement s near and the Reserve barracks ,good bike path as well....really nice . I feel safe as and my children love the place . Spots to sit and Vibe 4sho ,peaceful .
