China Buffet — Restaurant in York

We went to eat at China Buffet to eat lunch! I grew up in york and used to eat here all the time when i was younger! My friends dad used to take me and my best friend to eat there all the time! I seen all the good reviews here, all of those reviews are going to bold face lie to you!!! I don’t care what anyone says. They have to be paying someone to get these good reviews!!!

I paid 35$ for me and my husband and our 3 yo to eat (mind you he eats like a bird and barley eats when we go out) the lo mein was literally spaghetti noodles & had no flavor! The sesame chicken was Ketchup & brown sugar! The eggs rolls were the frozen kind, hard as a rock on the outside & mushy on the inside! The black pepper chicken was still pink on the inside!! (That can make ppl sick) I probably could’ve got a better tasting meal from the PF Chang / panda hut freezer section at Walmart! I don’t like wasting my money as a bust my ass, every day and work hard to earn it! This was a disappointment!! I’m honestly in shock that they’re still open!

The one thing that I can say is, I did enjoy my orange frozen dessert. My husband did enjoy their mushrooms & the burbon chicken and we had a wonderful waitress that made sure to keep our drinks full the whole time...

I agree with others saying the establishment need to be updated. I recently moved to the York area and my family and I have been looking for new places to try and eat. We noticed this restaurant but we're hesitant to try it mostly because we were judging the quality of the food based off the restaurants exterior, don't judge a book by it's cover. Today we decided why not let's give it a try. The inside most definitely needs to be updated the tables, chairs, booths, floors and buffet conter tops were ALL CLEAN. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. The waitress we had was very nice and efficient she did an amazing job. Although the selections are limited the quality of the food makes up for it. The Bathrooms were clean but should Be considered for remodeling. Overall I give this place a 5/5. This rating and review are based off of my personal standards and experience. Food is ok , however my prob is all the lil up charges !! I just tried ordering lunch , so lunch menu is 5 bucks and change . I ordered two things it came to 15.78 fine with taxes ok then they say well ur two dollars short of delivery so I add a drink I said give me a soda they say we DNT have cans just styrofoam cups so right there they're cheating it and that's fine I still agree then they give me the total and it came to 22bucks and I'm like wow that's a lot but I was gonna go ahead and do it anyway until he goes yeah well it's five dollars for delivery if you come pick it up maybe cheaper but didn't you just tell me that it was $17 minimum for delivery how you now can add five more extra dollars see it's sad because little town businesses I really try to support but how can I when they trying to nickel and dime us . That's just wrong so I canceled the whole order I'm just gonna eat a sandwich ! I say we DNT buy from them until are more fair with there...
