Our small group of 6 were on a 5 day trip to the area and made a drive to visit the lighthouse. We visited Fox's and upon entry, requested an inside table in a cool and quiet place as it was in the afternoon and very hot. The woman at the front identified herself as the owner, seated our group outside ignoring our simple request. Our table was located between two tables filled with children. I'm a baseball coach so to me it was not an issue because I work with children and teens. One table was filled with children that were well behaved, while the other table was filled with children that were very bad behaved and it was appearing that a food fight was not far away. The same woman served us. We all ordered mixed drinks, but she didn't bring mine or my wife's drinks. She disappeared so we couldn't bring our missing drinks to her attention. She had our meal served and it was to no surprise that the meal would be about the same as her ignoring our simple request for inside seating where they had several open tables. I was right, the food was cold, greasy, and almost all breading. The food was overcooked as well. After a long wait, terrible food, and a waitress/owner????, with the rudest attitude for anyone in the food business, I will never visit Fox's ever again. Oh, she did bring our drinks after everyone had finished their meals and was ready to go. I should have sent them back, but did not want to be as rude as she was! We enjoyed seeing the lighthouse. Please heed my advice, don't waste your time at Fox's. There are many other great places to dine nearby. Terrible staff, food all for an expensive ticket. I wish that I could say something positive about Fox's, but simply cannot. Don't waste your time or...

To start out our server was terrible. After about 10 mins he showed up and asked if we needed anything, I was like yes drinks and we gave our order and they came out slow but no worries. He gave our drinks and took off. Came back and said do you need anything? I said yes to order and once again he took off for about 10-15 mins then he comes back is there anything I can do for you and once again I said yes we would like to place our order so we began to order. I had Fried Clam basket, my friend had Fried Scallops basket both with French fries and my mom got the fried haddock sandwich wit a baked potato. Our meal came and my friend instead of getting French fries with her scallops she got a baked potato but the other meals came correctly. She told him she wanted French fries and he said oh! Then went back and 10 mins later they came out and she was almost done with her scallops but FF did come out popping hot. She liked the scallops, my mother said her sandwich was ok and my Fried clams with bellies were tiny tiny and had no taste to them and a small amount of the as more fries than clams. Dessert was the best part of it all! The bill came out to $133 for 3 people and it wasn’t worth the money. Will never go back for sure since it’s supposed to be good seafood. I understand the waiter was probably new as a college student but he needs a lot of training to be serving on his own. It’s funny today I went to a local restaurant in my city and got fried clam roll and got more clams then here for $13.99 and they also tasted so much better. All I can say is beware on...

We went because our trip there years ago was beyond excellent. This is no longer the case. First, if you are handicapped or mobility impaired, go somewhere else. The crushed rock and uneven concrete surfaces are beyond difficult on walker wheels or wheelchairs. We approached the outside section to find it roped off-you have to go around it, get in line, go in, get a hostess and get seated there. Kicked out of the roped section, we were directed to another outside area, the second class citizens section, where you have no wait staff, no menus, and you order an abbreviated menu from a window. Same outrageous prices, but not a full dining room menu. An average piece of fish was draped over a small container of soggy fries, stuffed inside the same carry box with another of my party's chicken burger and a side order of $7 mac and cheese - HAD to be out of a box, except out of a box is better, more cheese, wider macaroni, boxed actually has a taste. Also included ketchup packets that require a chain saw to open and which caused a ketchup explosion on the table. Most of our time there, there was a side table about 10 feet away with a veritible LANDSLIDE of dirty dishes with leftover food on them waiting to be bussed. I understand that these are difficult times for restaurants, and any restaurant that offers outside seating to those of us unwilling to go inside are to be commended. However outside seating requires good planning, execution, and staffing, none of which Fox's...

Fox's Lobster House 9-6-25 We had to stop by this Lobster House for the Lobster. The lady that greeted us at the front was very friendly and answered any questions we had about this place as it was our first time there. She stated you want to sit upstairs as the views were much better. The views from upstairs were spectacular with the ocean and Lighthouse in the background just amazing. They do have an outside patio for dining which is rather large with shading for all to enjoy that kind of atmosphere. Now let's get to the food. I ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder, and my wife ordered a cup of Lobster Bisque for appitizers. We both ordered the Fox's Favorite Lighthouse Dinner which had 1.5-pound Lobster, Corn on the Cob with Baked Potato. Our soup came out first, it was hot and very tasty, mine was packed with clams. This had to be the best New England Clam Chowder I ever had. In fact, it was so good I did not want to share it with my lovely wife. She stated her Lobster Bisque was fantastic also. The Corn on the Cob and Baked Potato was also good, but the star of the dinner was the Soup and Lobster. Everything was hot, tasty and with the great service provided by Stella we just loved this place, and my bet is you will also. You must stop by here not only for a great dinner but the spectacular views and a visit to the Lighthouse right next door. If I could give this place 6 stars I would but I will give it 5 stars and a +. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐+ Follow Me For More Reviews & Fun. Gulf Coast Terry

Went to FOXs for a second time. I really enjoyed the food here during our first visit. So, this time around my family and I tried a little bit of everything. Fish and chips were great; fish was real fresh and not over battered. Clam chowder could have had more clam, feel like it had too much potato in there (flavor was on point though). Next, we wanted to have lobster rolls since we were in Maine. Lobster rolls were okay but it was definitely missing some flavor. I'm not totally familiar with how it should be prepared but for my 1st time I dont think I would have it again. However for $25 I felt like I did get enough lobster for the price. I ordered a corn on the cob that was still under-cooked. The place was really packed so I didn't bother to complain (i'm sure they had their hands full already). We all finished by having the blueberry lemon de and that is always a hit with my fam. I definitely do recommend visiting this place since the rest of the food is actually really good. Looking forward to next time, I really want to try their sweet treats :)

I wish I was posting something more positive about Foxs. We used to love it here. We got the shrimp dinners tonight and all of the shrimp were tiny and to top it off I had a hair in the batter of the shrimp. I would rather of had 4 large shrimp then those cheap tiny shrimp you find in fried rice. Our fries were half cooked and not crispy. My shrimp plate was almost 26$ and 9$ for a side salad ! My daughter had literally plain fettuccine Alfredo and that was 20 or 22$! No meat or anything ( she didn't want meat but if she did it would of been another 9 or so $$) ! The pros were the waitress was a veery nice woman who was so apologetic for the hair in the food. We told her don't worry about taking the food off the bill and she and the owner still did which was nice. The adult beverages were actually very good too! Unfortunately, I don't think we will ever go back. The amount they charge for the amount and the quality of food is gross.
