If you're in Youngsville and want great pizza, you need to stop by HomeSlice Tavern. Heck, if you're anywhere in a 75 mile radius of Youngsville, get in here!

My wife and I have been meaning to stop in for a while and finally made it today. We were not disappointed and will be back again, regularly.

As far as the menu, your choice is pizza. You can order by the slice or get a whole pizza. Keeping it simple, there's only one size - 18 inch. There are plenty of choices for toppings.

The pizza is some of the best I've had! The crust is hand tossed, cooked to perfection. Plenty of gooey cheese. Lots of pepperoni! I forgot how much I loved the little pepperoni until I had it on this pizza. I highly recommend the pepperoni pizza.

Drink selection is plentiful. They have a few beers on tap and more in bottles and cans. Their liquor selection is huge - I imagine they can make just about anything you want. Today's popular drink was Bloody Marys.

The restaurant itself is very inviting. The kind of place you want to hang out with family and friends. Inside is a large bar and plenty of high-top and regular tables. The area is nice and open. There's a small area with arcade-type games.

They have a huge outside area with a lot of seating. There's even a balcony area to look out over the outdoor area.

Jay, one of the GMs, made us feel very welcome. He chatted with us and gave everyone equal attention. This is definitely a friendly place.

We can't wait to go back, hang out, and have...

We just made our first visit for lunch about an hour ago. Very friendly staff. The friendly young fellow behind the bar named Jay actually went outside and back to the pizza making truck to check to make sure they had mushrooms when I ordered it. The pizza stole the show. This is kind of like a cross between home-made and Artisan version of NY style pizza. Most of us have had home-made pizza and it is what it is. It CAN be out of this world fantastic. You tell people you make home made NY style pizza and you get a polite smiles and reluctance in accepting invitations to dinner. If you do it well, you watch them as they taste it and you see the moment they realize that they've never had a truly exceptional pizza before. If we're all lucky, they make a business out of it and retain the great slightly fermented dough formulation and bake method as they move to bigger mixers and professional ovens. THIS, folks, is in THAT category. The cheese blend is excellent. They used hand sliced pepperoni by my guess - it cupped during the bake - and they used fresh cut mushrooms, and did so without making the pie watery. The sauce reflects the value of becoming a sauce during the bake relying on the crushed tomatoes to work their magic. OK, so just 1 personal preference thing for me would be a some or more pepper in the sauce, but that is just me. Kudos to HomeSlice Pizza! We...

The drinks and pizza here are good and I want to like this place so much, but it has become a daycare center.

This day was especially bad and caused me to write a review because someone decided to have their child's birthday party here? At a bar???

Any weekend there will be 20+ unsupervised and misbehaving children running around. Kids are constantly bothering you, throwing toys, mulch, knocking over drinks, etc.

You cant even be here without kids literally running into you. There's even a sign outside that says kids can't be running around and must be supervised, but everyone including employees ignore this.

Is this a bar? Or is it a children's play place that just happens to serve alcohol?

Update based on their response to my review: I am going to leave this one star because while the public not respecting your rules is unfortunate, it doesn't matter when your staff clearly won't enforce those rules. They will just walk past kids climbing on tables and rocks, throwing toys / trash, and overall just...

My wife and I decided to try HomeSlice after taking a nice walk at nearby DeHart Gardens. The weather was beautiful and HomeSlice was a perfect place to enjoy it. The beer and Cocktails were great. The Pizza looked and smelled terrific and tasted even better, with a crust that was crisp yet airy for a great bite! The back yard has shade from a huge oak and many dogs and children - but not too many. We’ve circled it on the map to come back soon
