We moved to Youngsville, North Carolina in June, 2017 looking for that small town country feeling area we would hopefully call home. I was tickled to discover that this very small building was going to be opening up as a coffee shop one month later in July. What I loved initially, besides the great coffee, was the fact that it is a family-owned business and that the owners, Karen & Ryan Lindsay were veterans. I didn't know anything about their family history before visiting them. Of course, I had to check out their website which gave me a clear understanding as to the reasoning behind naming their shop "Packhouse". The family grew up on an old tobacco farm that has a Packhouse, which used to be used to pack tobacco. Karen's dad turned it into an area to hangout afterwards. The place is full of memories stapled to the walls; ticket stubs, pictures, jokes, memorable nic nacks from family trips, and so much more. The family’s story is depicted on the walls of that Packhouse. It's an adorable little building set off the "main drag" through the town of Youngsville. What happens inside that little building though is amazing. It's now been almost 4 years that my husband, myself and our golden retriever, Gretzky have been patrons. Sometimes as much as 3x/week...yes, their coffee and frappes are amazing! And, for those that have a sweet tooth...there are wonderful pasties for you too! The service is ALWAYS friendly and we are known on a first name basis by many of their baristas. Gia, Natalie, Kathryn, Kara and others know us AND our orders. And, of course, Gretzky makes them smile and gets his treat biscuits too!

We moved to the nearby area last year, but just found this little coffee house gem today. We initially drove past it on our way to the local farm. So glad we stopped on our way out. What an amazing hidden gem we have here. Their menu is pretty awesome, you can mix and match to your hearts desire. Their frappe's are just wonderful and blended to perfection. The staff was sweet, patient and very informative as it was our first time. We will definitely be back.

Always a great experience here!! My girls and I LOVE their hot cocoa with marshmallow!! It was an excellent recommendation by their friendly staff! As my girls say, "It's SO delish!!" Pastries, all kinds of coffee, and teas available too. We drive out of our way to come here!! ETA: April '24- The kid size frappes are the perfect size and great price! We enjoyed sitting in the sunshine for our visit last week!šŸŒž

Major traffic issues caused by the line being backed up. Every single morning the line is so backed up it causes traffic on Main Street… but the main problem is when there’s cars exiting the line to turn onto main, i can’t turn onto the street from main because there are cars coming out one lane and the other lane is blocked from the enter line being backed up. Basically the whole street is blocked because of it until a nice person on main lets the car go, while I’m basically stopped on main holding up traffic until the lane clears. This has been causing major problems for years and no one is doing anything about it. Solve the issue...

I love visiting local coffee shops as a side hobby. I’ve been to MANY in the last 2 years of moving to Raleigh and nothing has surpassed Packhouse. Their story is an inspiration to me as I would LOVE to not only work in a coffee shop part time (teacher life) but open my own shop one day.

Their iced coffee is just SO good and lattes! I consistently keep track of the type of beans shops use and which ones I would love to use for my dream. If ordered many, many flavors with their coffee and have yet to be disappointed. I always look forward to my weekly coffee stop before school and sometimes that turns into two...
