Yaya's Pizza — Restaurant in Ypsilanti Charter Township

so I was doordashing one day and stopped in here to grab a customer's order. it smelled SO dang delicious, i was sniffing it through the box the whole way to their house! I was like, I need to come here! since then I've been back 3 times in the last month and a half. The pizza is excellent quality! Like really excellent. My husband worked as a manager in the pizza industry for 10 years so we both have really high standards when it comes to pizza, in my eyes, he's the only one who makes a good one. So for Yaya's to impressive us, was a pleasant surprise. Even more surprising, I've never liked BBQ pizzas, and last night, we ordered one and I'm just so impressed. When I picked it up, my eyes rolled into the back of my head it smelled so good. The fact that I could get an outstanding pizza for the same price as a mediocre pizza at a chain, it really says a lot. Their shwarma pizza was outstanding, totally worth the hype. I'll be coming here a lot so Yaya's please, never close. I'm not much of a pizza person, to my husband's dismay, but you guys may change my opinion after all.

This place is AMAZING. I've had the chicken shawarma pizza twice and now the pepperoni pizza tonight. This is one of those times where it tastes BETTER than it looks, and it already looks awesome.

The crust is light, airy, chewy in all the perfect ways but still crispy where it counts. It passes the one handed fold test. And most importantly, all the ingredients perfectly balance each other and nothing is too heavy or light. You can tell the people working at Yaya's really care about making good and beautiful food. Seriously, I can't understate just how good everything has turned out EVERY time.

And as a special treat tonight, I picked up a dessert that's usually sold next door at the market. I don't know the name but it was 10/10 dangerously good.

I've been to Yaya's three times now and every single time EVERY person there has just been so kind and friendly.
