Guadalajara’s Taco Shop And Soul Food — Restaurant in Yucaipa

I have procrastinated on making this review because I really hate giving bad reviews to these mom and Pop establishments. And for some reason other reviewers rate this place highly so I guessing I visited on a bad day? I ordered the Mex burrito with chicken and what I received Was in fact, a large burrito with an unknown meat product. The filling of beans and rice was very good and very flavorful but it’s the meat component that I still question. As I got down to the last few bites of the rice and beans I realized that I had actually made a side pot of unknown hard meat substance. I finally had to ask, the lady behind the counter what is this? I picked up one piece of what should’ve been chicken and tapped it on the table to show her that it was not only hard but a color that was unreasonable for chicken. They apologized greatly and said they would make me a brand new burrito which they did in a very short amount of time and I took it home, hoping that this would be, a better representation of their food. And that night I split the burrito open to once again check out the ingredients and found the same meat substance within. But on another note, at least there was fewer pieces of it to have to dig out of the burrito itself. Have been here before, so today's interaction was shocking. I ordered 4 Al Pastor tacos (he mentioned that this was one of the meats he had available since they were out of birria). Get my order and go to my location only to see that I received 4 chicken tacos. No big deal; maybe there was a misunderstanding...WRONG! I go back to the store and say that these are chicken tacos and that I ordered Al Pastor (I even showed receipt). Cook goes on to say that they don't have Al Pastor and just use chicken. Wait, What?! How can someone offer a product that they know they don't have and then proceed to just give you whatever?? What if I don't like chicken? What if I am allergic to chicken? So, I just ordered something else. Cook says that it's on the house ( I assume it is for my trouble of not getting what I order AND having to come back). I say thank you and wait for it to be cooked. I hear cook mumbling something to the cashier...then once my item is ready, cashier says that she does have to charge me after all. WOW! Just moved here from OC, where great Mexican food is abundant. The restaurant was empty. I got 4 different meat tacos, hoping for the best experience. I was surprised that they all tasted the same, no flavor, just meat cooked right out of the package. I thought the salsa would help, but it just ended up being a tomatoy disaster. Lastly, I got ripped off as one of the tacos was missing, which was pretty disappointing considering I only ordered 5 things. I don't think the cook knew how to read the orders because the cashier kept having to repeat the orders and was frustrated because another customer ordered a meat and egg burrito, and the cook didn't add any meat!
