Went here for lunch and the service was great, food presentation and the way they place it on the plat was pretty upper class. It was very quiet and kinda dead in there. We are from Los Angeles where they play upbeat J-pop and have music videos on the tv to put you in the mood to celebrate. SO we thought we would come back on a weekend for dinner. Valentines weekend was horrible... we made a reservation and the guy on the phone has a very hard time with english, turns out 2 people called off work and the service was kinda meh because it was one poor kid doing all the work. The place had a table with 13 people at one table.. How they could not have some back up workers was beyond me?? Same dead boring atmosphere. It decorated really pretty like something cool is about to happen and it Never Does! They got the Egg Foo Young totally wrong.. swimming in sause to the egg if there was any?? It was really slimy underneath and chunks of chicken and vegetables on top?? WTH. We tried to tell the young guy that this was not our order and he argued it was.. Whatever.. To be told we were wrong.. Wooooo Big strike there..

We had their deliteful black pepper beef-cooked tender and just rite,delicate sauteed eggplant,salt and pepper fish,and delicious pork bun and sauce. Promptly made and delicious! The staff are attentive and offered suggestions for our meal. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend Bella and Yang to anyone looking for a fine delicious authentic Chinese or Japanese meal. Their portions were generous and prices very reasonable. Spent $100 on some Cali rolls (how can you mess those up) and dinner for 4. I trusted the reviews so I spent the money. But I wish there would have been more reviews that were more accurate. The portions were okay. The food was horrible. At best. Zero flavor. Everything fish/shrimp related was extremely fishy and tasted old/borderline expired (maybe covid related?) Noodles had zero flavor, soup was literally egg in water, no seasoning, no onions or tofu, all chicken was hard and curled up and inedible, fried rice was very hard with no spices/flavor other than fishy shrimp, white rice was wet and soggy could only eat the top layer, sushi was.... lets say not fresh, absolutely inedible. No condiments provided. Did get delicious fortune cookies. All this food was ready for pick up in 10 mins.. which made me very suspicious. But it did taste reheated or pre-made a day or more before.
