Being in the area me and my family wanted to check this spot out for good ol fashioned American food.
Lots of country living vibes is what to be expected here with all kinds of Western and historical relics inside and outside to gaze upon as being one of the main attractions here. A koi pond and selection of birds too just outside.
Large menu to choose from, so you can't go wrong with a wide variety and selections.
Me and my wife ordered their Honey dipped fried chicken dinner which came with baked potato or choice of mashed potatoes. I got their baked potatoe topped with whipped butter and chives (I omitted the sour cream). Dinner salad with blue cheese dressing. Our daughter got their chicken tenders with fries and a side of their homemade chicken noodle soup (which ended up being a tad bit salty).
Their fried chicken was delicious which had a super crunchy batter and baked potato was delicious as well. Portions for their dinner meals were generous for the price. Wifey didn't care for their brown gravy which came with her mashed potatoes, said it lacked a bit in flavor. Lastly their green beans were just on the over cooked side. With the understanding that some restaurants cook them differently, we prefer them blanched or boiled lightly till they are soft.
Other than that the place was clean, organized, and our service was great. Sever/bus boy were courteous accommodating.
Wouldn't mind coming back when in town to try other items...
Read moreI have been going in here off and on for years. It has been several years sense I was there. I needed a beer after pealing the skin off my arm due to blood thinners. I ordered a senior meal. The piece of fish was so small and thin that it was like leather on one end and under cooked on the other end. The cauliflower serving was so small it was a joke. The veggie was so cold the mash had supper lumps. The server admitted it sat a while but under cooked fish? I know senior servings are small but this was a child's portion if that. The soup was ok. I got a refund for the meal and the bear. The server was very nice and polite. I heard other people saying something was not good and the server said someone else had the same complaint. That was 4 not goods. The others eat there all the time and were nice to talk to. One of their husbands died in Nam. I bought them there early dinner because it was memorial day. All in all it was a great experience but there is no excuse for bad food. Bad food is all over San Bernardino county. Any thing good is more than in LA where you really get good quality at a good price. I will not be...
Read moreUnfortunately I hate to say I will no longer be supporting this establishment. I do like all the stuff on display out front, that’s not the issue at all. I went in for breakfast at 9:44am on Monday, Oct. 25th 2021. I was denied a meal as the establishment wouldn’t turn their fryer on 16 minutes early for me. I politely stated I’d patiently wait, however the waitress told me it wasn’t going to happen. Paid my $6.62 bill for the drinks, and left feeling disappointed and went to Abby’s right across the Yucaipa Blvd. Thankfully Abby’s had no problem accommodating my order. For an establishment barely able to survive in this Covid era (as stated by their old menus explaining their price increases) you’d think the owner would be more lenient when it comes to doing what they are there for… to make money. They won’t ever get the opportunity to do that off me and my family any longer. To the owner, I’m not going to make suggestions on your business, but I will state this isn’t the first time your establishment hasn’t left me fulfilled. Merely this is just the first time I’m making it known publicly. I wish you the best, and great success during these...
