Went to this establishment for dinner with the family as we have just moved to Yukon and wanted to check out local rather than chain restaurants. They do include kids menu with options. Upon being seated and drinks taken had questions about what is homemade. Always prefer over canned and frozen crap. Was told the potato salad, coleslaw, and "corn"? We had 2 of the rib dinners, one with okra and slaw, the other with potato salad and slaw. Son order brisket and ribs and grandson the corn dog bites with fries. I had asked if the onion rings or fried pickles for the appetizers were homemade and was told was frozen, so passed on that. The BBQ sauce was brought out warm in a squirt bottle also did try the hot and spicy. I absolutely 💯 do not recommend either. The okra was obviously frozen, as the waitress didn't state homemade. Very well done and almost to the point of burnt. The potato salad is mustard based and wasn't expecting that and should be stated on the menu as we are not mustard fans. The waitress did state has both mayo and mustard but still more mustard of which is considered mustard based amd has that yellow color from the mustard. The potato salad did mot get eaten. My son loves baked beans but these were a hard pass even for him. As other comments it tasted like it has cayenne. The coleslaw was edible. All 3 of us adults did eat only 1rib each and not sure of why but overlly salted and very dry. The brisket had quit a bit of fat that was served on it. It was ok tasting, edible anyway. The only person that ended up full at the table was the one that ate the corn dog bites, my grandson. There were other things that happened while we were there as children of the staff where there running, literally, around the restaurant and while the waitress was taking our order was disrupted by questions from the child to the waitress. There also was another patron, worker not sure that went to fill their personal cup with ice over the ice bin and then got it to full and poured it back into the ice bin. Yes I did pay for the full meal, including tip did the waitress really care, no didn't ask why we were leaving the full platefuls of food on the table. I did have to comment to her of why. Her statement was I asked How everything was! I did reply that we hadn't even started eating the food yet when you asked...

I have a few things to mention about food and service. The food overall was good but there were a couple issues and personal opinions. The ribs were "gristly", my son didn't finish. It was a bit pricey to spend on a small gristly portion. We didn't know until later or I would have mentioned it while there. He did really enjoy the potato salad though. My husband loved the cornbread, son thought it was a bit too sweet. I liked it also. It was HUGE pieces. My husband got the 3 meat Deluxe Plate and was charged extra for burnt ends although there was no mention of an upcharge on the list. He enjoyed his food. He said the sausage was a bit dry but good flavor. He especially liked the beans...a lot. I ordered the nachos, they were good although next time I order them I will ask for extra tomato or pico. I was charged for a side that the server didn't mention was extra or I wouldn't have gotten it. She asked me what side I wanted when I ordered my nachos, I didn't see that it came with a side but she said it did. I ordered the potato salad and gave it to my son. When I looked at the receipt later I saw it as a charge. I was under the impression she was new because of her demeanor, the way she answered questions and tended the table, no refills. Not a huge deal if she is new. Now with service as a whole, all three servers, dropped the ball. There was a couple trying to get their attention several times as all three walked right by them and nobody acknowledged them for a good 10 min. from when I noticed them. The man had to get up and go to them. Yes, they sat themselves BUT, two of the servers were standing right next to them tending another table. They seemed like possible regulars but no excuse. It was NOT busy at all. Not one smile the entire time we were there, nonchalant demeanor, could just be their personality I guess. Oh...wait...we did get a couple quick smiles from our server. We just didn't get that "welcome" feel from the time we walked in. Overall, not a bad experience, just seems like they can benefit from a bit more customer service skills training and situational awareness. We will try again...

I stopped here for lunch on Saturday with my husband and 2 kids after I got off work. The hostess and waitress were very polite. This poor review is for the terrible food. When ordering, I asked how much it would be to add a corn on the cob and the waitress said "like two bucks", so I ordered the combination plate with sausage and ham, green beans and fried okra and added the corn on the cob. When the food came out, it was very small portions, the sausage was dried out and not very warm, tasted like old bologna, and appeared to be sliced days ago and reheated for my meal. The green beans were rubbery and flavorless, as if it was steamer bag green beans from the freezer with no seasoning. My fork couldn't even stick into the green beans. The complimentary corn bread muffins that came with my meal were stale. The corn on the cob came out in a bowl covered in seasoning that was very overbearing to the corn(tasted like season salt and garlic powder). My son's stuffed potato came out with an extremely small cup of butter, sour cream and cheese (like the plastic ketchup cups at fast food restaurants). And he had to ask twice for more to be able to get it on all of the potato. The mac n cheese my daughter got was just kraft Mac n cheese from a microwave. My husband was also very disappointed in his meal. When we got the bill, it was $85 if we paid with a card and $82 if we paid with cash, with no warning that there were extra charges for card usage and that $2 corn on the cob was $4 for a 3" mini cob. To say I was upset about the quality of the food and portion sizes for the price of the meal is an absolute understatement. I do NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone if you are looking for...

I have only been to Bad Brad’s Bar-B-Q of Yukon one time, but I know I would like to come back again someday! I have not eaten at a barbecue restaurant in so long, but this place seems rather reasonably priced for what you get. The interior is so fun and well decorated too! I would say it adds to the dining experience! For the day that I visited, I was in a particular mood for some loaded fries, and this place had a great plate of them! I got the Dirty Fries With Brisket, and it was so good! The fries were cooked the right way—not too soft, but not too crispy or burnt. It was the right texture too! There was a generous amount of cheese and pieces of Brisket all over. All the flavors combined well together. Their barbecue sauces were especially great on it as well! I would highly recommend adding those to almost any food that you get. Honestly, I thought I could eat my whole plate, but for what was given this was incredibly filling. Usually, for loaded fries I can eat it all no problem, but I needed a bit of help from my partner (since I did not want to take it home). This shows how good of a meal it was—even if it is not exactly an everyday one! Although there is no dedicated gluten-free menu, my partner did not having any issues before, during, or after eating the Dirty Fries With Brisket. That is a good thing! Now we have a nice place not too far from home where we can enjoy some Dirty Fries! I would recommend giving this place a visit if you have not already! In the future, I look forward to trying some of the other items.
