I had a very uncomfortable experience with my family here. The meal was okay, but when we got the bill, each price was wrong. They charged us more than the listed menu price. When we brought it up very politely and quietly to the waitress, the bar manager came over to the table and made a loud scene about our concerns. The happy hour beer was supposed to be $2 but they charged us more. We ordered a side specifically of onion rings. They charged us for a basket and the manager shamed us loudly in front of the restaurant about it, even though they accidentally gave us a basket instead of a side — which, again, is what we ordered. And they charged us more for a burger because we got onions on it, even though it wasn’t itemized on the receipt and we weren’t told that it would be an up charge. Restaurants should do the right thing and fix mistakes when they are brought up. NOT shame customers loudly. So embarrassing. The waitress was very nice and seemed to be new there. We don’t have a problem with that. We have a problem with who we think is the bar manager for not fixing all of the items, shaming us, and...
Read moreOk three strikes and your out. This was our go to place to eat last year during our stay in Yuma. This year has been a disappointment. While the food has still been good the service has been terrible. Last night (friday) we arrived at about 4:30. Waited about 45 minutes to be seated which was ok. Sat there for 20 minutes without any server even saying hello to us. Finally asked a passing waitress if we had a server assigned to our table. She said she would see and came back to take our order. After another half hour waiting for our food another server brought it out. My fish was cold and my wife received a philly cheesesteak when she had ordered a prime rib sandwich. We ate both meals anyway just to get the hell out of there! There are alot of options at which to dine in the foothills. We will not be choosing Westwind...
Read moreWe came to Westwind specifically for the Friday Night Fish Fry and were pleasantly surprised! The cod was delicious and cooked perfectly. Priced at $15/ea, we felt it was a fair price. Lots of cod (3 huge pieces), fries and cole slaw. I do wish there was a bit more slaw. We had to wait about 25 minutes when a high top in the bar area opened up. The bar was too crowded and we had people scooting between us to get by and had others standing directly behind us and hitting us with their arms. Service was very good with the waiter serving a few tables and heling tend bar. We do recommend the Friday Fish Fry. However, arrive a bit early if you don't want to wait and hold our for a real table. They do have outdoor seating but the night we went...
