Rating for Wendy's Nationally, 4.8 stars.. Rating for Wendy's ZACHARY, 3.5 stars, that should tell you all you need to know right there, but I will elaborate.. EVERY TIME I visit this location there is a problem.. Either they are out of something (which generally means someone is not calculating inventory correctly), or you have to "pull up & wait" for your food after ordering (when I've already waited in the drive thru line pretty long because never an in & out at this location) or the order isn't correct, (like the other day when they charged me double for my order because they didn't realize the guy ahead of me had gotten frustrated & drove off).. One day I needed a receipt to turn in to reimbursed for my meal expense by my job & "their printer was broken" (not the 1st time this has happened) so the attendant suggested that I take a pic of her screen showing it was paid.. When she tried to turn the screen it unplugged & completely rebooted the entire drive thru register system, WOW.. Last issue, I promise.. I reluctantly went there again last week ONLY because my daughter requested it as an after school snack.. When we got inside the person (I'm assuming is the manager) has the full register drawer out on the counter & is counting the money.. My daughter (8yrs old) is floating around, looking at the menu over head, doing what kids her age do & is completely oblivious to what the person counting the money is doing.. The person then proceeds to tell my daughter "back up away from the counter while I'm counting this money sweetie".. UM EXCUSE ME, my daughter (a child) seems to be the one doing what she is supposed to be doing in this instance, standing at the counter, looking at the menu trying to make her selection.. Shouldn't YOU be in the back counting money, I have NEVER seen that before.. All of these issues are not rare with this particular location, they are constant.. Its very unfortunate because I live in the small town of Zachary, this Wendy's is one of the few fast food locations in the area & the next nearest closest Wendy's is miles away in Baker.. Our community was so looking forward to having this Wendy's in the area but the lack of service & making the customer priority definitely outweighs the excitement for having a location & therefore causes customers to go elsewhere.. If a store like a Chick-fil-A comes in town with a GREAT business model of ENSURING that pleasing the customer is top priority then sadly this Wendy's will soon be out of business thus causing individuals to also lose employment!! IJS.. This Google review is ok for the consumers but a copy of this review is also going straight to corporate headquarters.. I'm sure they would like to know how & why this location is a part of bringing down their, what could be, 5 star...
Read moreLately, it seems there is something going on with the Wendy's location in Zachary, LA. This used to be one of the best stores with a drive-thru that stayed full. Last few months as you look around to the other 6-8 fast food establishments, and see their drive thru line out to the street, others wrapping around the building, it is very obvious that the tumble weeds rolling through the parkinglot of the Zachary Wendy's, suggests that something is lacking, whether it be customer service or the quality of the food items, something is affecting business. My personal experience in the last 3 months is receiving room temperature food, on a regular basis. I could have sworn that Wendy's cooks your food to order, but more and more, the patties of beef are smaller; nearly paper thin of what used to be served on a mini burger such as the Jr. Bacon cheese burger. The lettuce type on this sandwich has been changed to what seems to be a cheaper item, and grossly affects the total view of the burger. Last night, my daughter offered to buy dinner, as she often does, and she had already decided on Wendy's for the evening. I asked for a large chili, and was floored when the carton she handed me was not even warm, but actually room temperature. That was really the last straw, and I KNEW something was wrong. Never have I ever received a cold chili. I opted for the chili instead of a burger, because I knew (or assumed) the chili is always hot.Tremendously disappointed. There was barely any meat in the LARGE chili. I received a room temperature carton of beans -_-. I have attempted several times to call and speak with the manager, but this store seems to never answer their phone under any circumstance, no matter the time of day. They are not busy, for sure, as the last incident I was inconveniently forced to drive to the store to voice my complaint, and there were absolutely no cars in line. There used to be a gentleman at the drive thru window and he was accurate, articulate and just a wonderful addition and your order was always right with hot fresh food. When he left, so did the quality of Wendy's food. It may be management, it may be staff, but whatever the issue it needs to be corrected STAT! Remember, the crew reflects management....No more Wendy's for me, at least not in Zachary. The room temperature meatless chili was the last straw....

Read moreSo I have been sitting at the drive-thru waiting for someone to take my order. After 3 minutes they said that they're in the middle of shift change and that I can either come back or I can pull around. I told her no I got time to wait. They told me that I have to turn around because they are not allowed to have people sitting on their timer. They said that I was already on their timer for 3 minutes. I told her I got time to wait. They said they're not able to take my order until they get done with shift change and they're working with money. Once again I told her no I'm going to sit here so that it's documented how long it takes y'all to do a shift change. Right now there are vehicles waiting behind me. There are two employees outside smoking. They have no want or desire to work tonight. Obviously management has not been on top of this. At this moment I have been waiting for at least 10 minutes and they still are not done with their shift change. Management should really look at the camera and the order times to prove that they are not doing their job. So now I'm being told that I can't sit and wait for them to finish their drawer because they're short. They're telling me that their manager said that they have to send all the customers away. I told her I got time to wait. She says well what if I tell you there are no chicken nuggets or fries. I told her I can wait. She said I can't sit in the drive-through on their timer.
