Namaste — Restaurant in Montevideo

What an amazing place. A breath of fresh air amongst all the meat-heavy restaurants around here. I had the most delicious risotto with aubergine and curry. Truly an artisan dish. The tiramisu was a great finishing too. I am super impressed and will be coming again very soon. I'm here for a week and luckily, my flat is just opposite the road. Expect a follow-up review.

Follow up! It's a qeek later, and I'm back as promised. This time, I sit at the regular lounge, on a normal table, casue I have my laptop with me to catch up with some work. Yet again, the food is amazing, and I'm tempted by several dishes on the menu, but I remember how unique that risotto was last time, and I can't think if anything else. I order it again, and I get some spring rolls too. They're with cheese and olives. To be honest, not really the best item on the menu. Too much cheese, it's an overkill. Anyway, the risotto is spot-on and I finish with a chocolate desert, which is also incredible. Better than the tiramisu, maybe. I recommend this place...

Highly satisfying experience ⚘

There is an increasing number of new vegan or vegetarian restaurants/shops in Montevideo and they are an asset to the otherwise meat and French fries oriented eateries.

As a pleasant difference to many other vegan/vegetarian restaurants (often combined with shops), Namaste offers a great location, lovely decoration, high ceilings and refreshingly quite rooms in an otherwise noisy city.

Juices/smoothies are fresh, main courses delicious, and Namaste even offers a small and exquisite beer and wine selection. We experienced the service as heartwarming and professional.

My wife and I are not strict vegetarians and traveled to over hundred countries; Namaste is one of those places we can recommend with pleasure for lovers of delicious...

Planned a trip with office colleagues on Friday. So a lot of people almost 16 , we reserved the seats. It's really good. Ambience (10/10) Service (10/10) Drinks (7/10) Food (8/10)

Service is really great. So many people are there, they helped us keep our bags and jacket in different places and very less delay in food, as ordered a lot.

One tip, don't order green juice and Namste juice. It was terrible... Specially green juice 😖.
