Hotel Massini Suites — Hotel in Montevideo

I am a senior traveler and stayed at the Massini suites recently ( December 2014). The hotel is well located in Pocitos. It is close to a beach, close to some local ferias where you can buy produce, meats, cheeses, and lots of other local arts, crafts, and household items. Pocitos is a||well maintained area of Montevideo and there are local mini markets and businesses in the area that cater to locals and tourists. It is fun just to walk and check out the architecture, the tree lined streets, and people doing people things. The room was spacious and clean and the staff ( Thanks Diego, Veronica, Patricia ) were good to me. There is a small frig, microwave, and sink in the room so you can cook some for yourself which is another plus for families or travelers on a budget. I accessed city buses a few streets away ( Brazil street), and overall found this to be a good place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. I don't drive here so i dont know what the parking facilities are like, if they have them, but the area is nice. The hotel called me a shuttle to the airport that was on time and cost $45.00 U.S. I wouldnt spend my entire vacation in Pocitos but it is good to experience it as one of the more upscale areas in the city. i concur with many of the other reviewers that this is a good place to stay at a good price - you just need to identify what you want to see and do in Montevideo and stick...

El dia 26 de Octubre,tenia reserva confirmada con este hotel,llego al check in y me dicen que no hay reserva,le muestro el correo con la confirmacion y me dicen debe haber sido derivada a otro hotel,le pregunto con el permiso de quien hicieron eso?me dice que el no lo sabe,como tampoco encontraba la derivacion,despues de llamar a muchos hoteles,me dice que esta la reserva en Vivaldi,me dirijo alli y la recepcionista me pide una tarjeta de credito,la cual no tenia o 200 dolares,tampoco tenia,era mi ultimo dia en Uruguay,en forma despota me dice y en voz alta entonces no puede entrar,le explique que mi reserva estaba asociada a una tarjeta de credito y que esto nunca me habia ocurrido,incluso venia de Punta del Este,se nego a solucionarme el problema creado por Massini,tuve que conseguir con amigos el dinero,pasar por la verguenza ,de pedir dinero prestado.||El valor de la habitacion era menor al pagado con Massini y ellos ofrecian desayuno,||que tampoco yo tenia derecho porque mi reserva era sin desayuno,cuando estaba pagando mucho mas por la habitacion.||Massini ,es un hotel poco fiable,hace negocio con sus huespedes,el le paga menos al ||hotel donde te derivan y te hacen pasar un mal rato.||No lo...
