Went there for a little lunch. They call themselves a restaurant; however, they are far from being one. It's a quite busy place with no host. So when you enter this place, you are pretty much lost, looking for an empty space to sit. Not the end of the world, though. Service was prominent, however, there was a bit of a wait for the food. My Mrs. got her food first, so I had to wait extra for mine. Despite mine being just a sandwich 🥪. Her food was fresh and hot with a tea that complemented the dish. A few minutes later, I received my sandwich that was not even yesterday's. I could tell by the cheese slice that was changing in color. I could tell with confidence that the bread was in the fridge for long. As I was hungry looking at my partner while she was eating, I ripped that sandwich in half and left the top on the plate. When the waiter took the plate, he had 0 interest in asking why I did what I did. Bet, he knew about that sandwich. I do not understand why people are going there , since the food is miserable. Paul franchise management shoud retrieve their franchise licence for the state this place become.

Paul Café, Please Break Up with Chicken Curry Paul Café stands for something—French heritage, impeccable taste, and over a century of doing things properly. It’s a brand built on precision and pride. Which is why the chicken curry on the menu in the Tashkent franchise feels like a betrayal. Watery, bland, and soulless, it bears no resemblance to the richness curry deserves—or the standards Paul demands. This wasn’t a reinterpretation. It was a resignation letter to flavour. Maybe the Tashkent branch forgot the legacy it represents. Or maybe it thinks the Paul name alone is enough. But food tells the truth. Verdict: If you can’t honour the brand, don’t borrow the name. Chicken curry doesn’t belong here. Or learn how to cook real chicken curry!!!

Paul has arrived at the spanking new Tashkent City Mall! Here…it’s far grander than their Parisian counterparts as those has long lost their shine! This Cafe has a large seating area divided into two parts and enough staff to ensure adequate service. As the norm here in Uzbekistan, the team is young, speedy and eager. My latte was good and the almond croissant just hit the right spot! The take away raspberry tart was just as delicious. Hey Paul… it’s good to see you!

We had a small incident at that restaurant , we ordered coffee without sugar, as my wife has an allergy. They made coffee with sugar, as their coffee mix has sugar in it already, as an outcome - huge allergy and bad review. Waiter said that he thought we knew it comes with sugar already, so he didn’t mention it. They even didn’t propose to make a new coffee, as they thought they were right! Wake up your coffee costs are at 0.5 cents… Train your staff on dietary intolerances or it can...
