Read moreThe Tashkent City Park spread across 18 hectares is located in the central area of the city. The park consists of beautiful gardens, pools, restaurants, a basketball court, and two children’s playgrounds. One of these playgrounds has paid entry while the other one is free to access. The main attraction is the musical fountains that shoot water streams up to 80 meters and light up in the evening. One corner of the park is dedicated to an animal hedge sculpture area. The park has an amphitheater where you can enjoy various performances, shows, and musical concerts. Tashkent’s first modern planetarium is also located here, along with a wax museum. The planetarium offers interactive shows in Uzbek, Russian, and English languages while the wax museum has 24 life-sized wax figures on display. You can also use a bicycle to explore different sections and attractions as a slip-proof cycling pathway has been constructed throughout. Read moreTashkent City Park is the place where everyone meets. It is the place to make photos and selfies with all the sculptures and artwork. And after that, restaurants by the water invites you to linger. In the evening the park becomes even busier when all the different lights illuminate the sculptures. You stroll through the park, along the water and cannot get out of this romantic mood. Like in a trance you see spots where you want to make a photo and cannot stop anymore. In the background the Hilton Tashkent, which is illuminated in the national colors, The Non-Plus-Ultra photo or selfie. Don’t miss one of the “Dancing Fountain“ shows in the evening. The last show is at 21:00 and all the lights go off before 22:00. I am happy to go back to Tashkent again and enjoying this great park, the atmosphere and the great hospitality of the Uzbeks.
