A diplomatic soviet style hotel which had clearly seen better days in the past. The looking of the hotel is quite good, huge and spacious. Rooms are quite nice even if the interiors are a bit outdated. But definitely I can't say that was my best experience un Uzbekistan, and not a 4 stars hotel at all. Hotel staff barely speaks engligh and at some point in the morning at the reception nobody does. Many times attitude from the staff was quite unfriendly and rude, like you are an unwanted guest. You was not even allowed to charge a can of beer on my room. Breakfast buffer is quite poor in choices, quality and quantity, I have to call out several times to have orange juice dispenser refilled. With a bit off effort this hotel would have the potential to be a its glorious past days. Only the position, in the city center and close to the metro station is to be saved. But for the same price I think you can have better options.

I think the hotel had everything you need. I was in couple hotels on my trip to Uzbekistan and during my travels I appreciated some things this hotel has to offer: - warm water with good pressure - warm and comfy duvet - comfy beds and pillows - clean rooms - working hair dryer - WiFi, it also works in rooms When it comes to how the hotel looks like... It definitely remembers soviet times. It depends if you enjoy such architecture but for sure you will get a spacious room. If you're looking for a short, cheap stay, this hotel is a good choice. It's definetly clean and has basic that some hotels in Uzbekistan might be missing...

Beds very small, curtains are old coming out when try to use close windows. Price are very high I read some reviews from booking.com There are many good reviews. This is make me stay there. One n last stay no more. Reception some staff help some just ignore This place have great building If in right management hands, it will be great even can be 5 star hotel But, not even compare with 3 stars...

Big deluxe room; out dated furniture, carpet with dirty stains, broken sofa bed, furniture is so old it looks haunted. To the point we slept in one room. ||||This was for me, my wife and 13 year old son. We arrived at 4am. No bed for my son; sofa bed broken no bed lining or blanket. The night shift staff promised to fix in morning. My son slept on the floor with one blanket on floor and one blanket for him. ||||In the morning I reminded the owner Ammir and he said he would resolve. Came back requested Aziz again. After 4 calls still nothing. Then I went downstairs and demanded this and with 10mins a mattress was bought to the room. ||||Aircon - not working as it’s winter season so only fan. So room is uncomfortably warm. ||||Breakfast||Really rubbish selection and quality of food. The staff was rude and didn’t speak a word of English and even with sign language he was NO No.||||Staff||Try their best hence the extra 2nd Star. Idris(?) and Aziz did try their best. ||||Wi-Fi in room connects and then disconnects. Rubbish Wi-Fi ||||Hotel pickup from Airport||I pre booked and paid $20 as I was landing at 3am. But spoke to other guests and they paid $10. I wanted a tour guide with a car price started at $100, negotiated to $50 which was worth it for 4 hours. (Thanks to Aziz)||||Location ||Rubbish. Have to get a taxi nearby.||||Overall||I had two separate booking. After my first 2 nights. I cancelled my 2nd booking for my return. Seriously avoid. ||My fault as it was a last minute booking; I should have researched.||||Do not book this hotel. I did it thinking quick short stay cant be bad; but it was bad. ||||I have travelled the world and stayed in 100s of hotels. This is the worst one. One star rating; 2nd...

Everything about this hotel is horrible. I booked a single standard room based on the beautiful photos on the website but it was a disaster. The front desk people seem to be in a permanent state of depression & you feel unwanted in this hotel. The bed was stretcher size (even for a person of a thin build) & if you turn around, you will fall off the bed, which led me to put a chair next to the bed to prevent me from falling down. The shower place is for kids & no way a normal person of average build can take a shower. Again here it was s stretcher size, where it is impossible to turn around in the shower. When I did bring this to the notice of the front desk, a person called Aziz gave me a lip service that as they were full currently (a lie it is assume as I barely saw any guests) that they will change me to a better room but this never happened at all. Also the space between the TV table at the bathroom exit is very narrow and hardly any place for you to walk out and in the dark you can get hurt very easily, totally unsafe. The TV in the room was a big box of the 1960 era & had only one blurred local channel on it. Also the WIFI signals are pathetic.|Further I had asked for a airport pickup & this was done promptly but was asked to pay directly to the driver (USD 20), which later I found out that I was ripped off. Also it turned out that the driver also moonlight's as a taxi driver & at the same time an employee of the hotel in the front desk.|With decades of my travel experience to various countries, this can be classified as the worst possible hotel that I ever stayed in. It is a totally rundown place, avoid it for your safety...

This hotel looks like a block of flats on a council estate and is not much better inside. With thinning carpets and unfinished balconies it really is an unattractive stay. Upon my arrival they had me recorded as sharing a room with a stranger and told me they had no other rooms for me. They asked if I could share a room with my elderly parents, or they would move me to another hotel. We told them this was unacceptable and all of a sudden they managed to magic up a room out of thin air, suggesting to me that they had not been telling the truth. Although the room was alright, there was absolutely no Wi-Fi at all in the room, and it appeared that the phone in the room could not be used to communicate with other rooms in the hotel. After being made to tip up front for suitcases to be delivered to rooms, my suitcase was delivered to my parents room, and on leaving they didn’t even bother to collect it from outside my room as arranged. I spoke to the staff who just said they didn’t have my room on their list and walked off without doing anything about it. In the end I had to go back up to the 7th floor myself to retrieve my case. The breakfast is extremely poor with not much variety. When items run out, such as glasses or juice, they are not replenished unless you ask staff to do so. The coffee machine is pretty useless, you are lucky if you get half a small cup, and it’s a miracle if you get milk! The location is also not the best. Tucked away in a side street far away from the main attractions, it is extremely uninviting on arrival....
