Initial impressions as you walk in should be ignored. The food here is top notch, authentic Chinese food. The owner was lovely. Between English, Chinese, Pidgin and hand signals we managed to communicate and she set us up right with the choices. The rice was well cooked and tasty, the chicken was really nice and the dumplings were spot on. She even gave us some apricots for afterwards which was a really nice gesture. It was well priced. We’ve tried nearly all restaurants with google reviews averaging 4.0 or over in Port Vila, and a few below 4.0 like the 51 year old French restaurant. We passed this small Chinese restaurant many times before we finally made up our mind to give it a try, for lunch. It turned out to be a big surprise, way passing our expectations. There are plenty of choices on the menu, all with photos. They look authentic, taste authentic, and are reasonably priced. And it’s fairly clean inside, better than we were...

Super recommended! This is the best Chinese restaurant in Vanuatu. The shop owner is incredibly kind and even let us try his home-grown lady finger bananas — such a special treat!

They serve fresh and authentic coconut crabs, which were absolutely delicious. At our hotel, we didn’t really get many vegetables, but here they offered variety of fresh greens — it was fabulous!
