Kai Vanua Restaurant — Restaurant in Efate

This is a must visit! Wow, my husband and I found this gem through a reddit recommendation and realised it was only walking distance from where we are staying at the Warwick resort.

We were served by Marie (unsure of spelling sorry), she was so beautiful and welcoming, she explained to us all about the concept of the restaurant and collective of businesses involved. All the food is fresh and locally sourced, so the menu is seasonal and changes frequently.

We ordered the osso bucco and coconut fish, they were delicious. The serving sizes are very generous and the pricing was definitely value for money!

Absolutely tremendous experience, after only westernised restaurant experiences in Port Vila so far this was exactly what we were looking for. Fresh, flavourful and full of Vanu love.

One of the only places we could find for authentic Vanuatu flavours and all applied with skill and understanding of balance in a meal. Also the cheapest meal we’ve had in Vanuatu so far (however in comparison to the meals we’ve paid more for this stands head and shoulders above).

I have no reservations in recommending this to anyone...

Kai Vanua is a simple spot, but the food is absolutely fantastic!

It’s a more local, authentic Vanuatu experience compared to the usual Western-style restaurants, and everything we tried was delicious.

The menu offers traditional Vanuatu dishes, which we loved, and the prices are very reasonable – a great value for tasty, genuine local cuisine.
