Service - Phenomenal Wine - Delicious Food - Soooo disappointing. All of it seemed like it had been sitting waiting for the right time to be brought into the room to match with the stages of projection show.
Butter chicken - Small portion, dry and made that sticky noise when you chew Crème brûlée - Split and had clumps Kofta - Nice enough, but cold Scallops and dumplings - Tasty, but nothing memorable.
The projection show just seems to be a gimmick to put a whole bunch of unconnected and unimpressive dishes together on a single menu. There were some entertaining bits.
Overall, not sugarcoating anything, completely not up to the standard you would expect from a restaurant charging fine dining prices and associated with the Hyatt. If you are after a true fine dining experience, go anywhere else. If you are after ok food accompanied by a fun experience and well mannered host & staff, this place will suffice.
If you make a reservation online, the price stated will still have additional taxes added (ended up being $400+ AUD...
Read moreI treated my mum to the Le Petit Chef experience during our stay at Hyatt Danang, and it was honestly a highlight of our trip. The storytelling was so much fun and really drew us in. It was amazing to try so many unique flavors in just one meal.
After the main meal, the staff surprised us with a little celebration, even though I hadn’t mentioned we were marking anything special (I was quietly celebrating a belated Mother’s Day). It was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel even more personal. If you’re planning to go, I’d definitely recommend letting them know if you’re celebrating something—they really make...
Read moreI gave 3 stars because it was just not exciting enough. We enjoyed the food, and the service was very good. It just somehow fell short of expectations having eaten at Le petit Chef in Manila, which was more exciting. The food was good, as you would expect, but the opening course was burrata and tomato, much like the burrata salad we had a couple of days earlier in the Italian restaurant in the same hotel. The crab cake was well presented but tasted like any crab cake. The steak was very tender but a little overcooked for my liking. We weren't offered a choice of how we wanted it cooked, The dessert was a somewhat underwhelming ice cream profiterole.
Conclusion: Go if you have never tried Le petit Chef, as it is a...
