My Casa — Restaurant in Đà Nẵng

We really love coming to your restaurant but for the love of god please fix your service!

The food at My Casa is incredible, and every time we come over for dinner I get the frozen Mohito which is probably my favourite drink ever.

However, the service was and continues to be absolutely dreadful.

On a good day, when we are the only clients in the place, we might get to wait 30-40 minutes for our order. On days when there is a party, its absolute chaos.

The last party we attended was Halloween. When we were finally able to flag down a waiter, we explained that we wanted to order and that we needed a menu in order to do so.

After a lot of complications and multiple requests for the menu, we managed to order food and drinks. The waiter requested that we pay, but the staff did not know the prices of the drinks we ordered so they came to our table to ask us how much our drinks cost!!! 😂😂😂

What is more my boyfriend ordered one of the cocktails and for 1,5 hour he kept asking for his drink to which each waiter replied "What is that?" forcing him time and time again to explain that it was a cocktail off their menu.

1,5 hour later, he never received his drink. We were waiting at the bar, with one foot outside the door. Our taxi was waiting outside and the staff were running around asking each other what it was we wanted.

We literally told them to keep the money and we left.

I really feel bad because the food itself is amazing and the drinks are delicious. But even when I do come to my casa, I try not to order a second drink because I know there will be a massive confusion.

This place was great. We came on one of the busiest nights (Friday evening before the new years) and we didn't have a reservation. The gal who runs the place was very nice and let us know that she was a little understaffed because of the new years so we'd have a bit of a wait ~30mins or so to get our order taken. We didn't mind waiting so we hung out in the bar area and enjoyed the decorations and the atmosphere. They had a nice soundtrack playing reggae versions of popular songs. Her estimated wait time was pretty accurate, which we appreciated. The lady was very nice and managed to serve a lot of people throughout the evening with very few helpers, so we were impressed. She even gave us free shots of her special vodka after our meal.

Now to the food. I have the pasta bolognese, which I was told could either come with wider noodles or narrower noodles, both of which are home made. I got the narrower ones (sorry cant remember their Italian names at the moment) which were really authentic and the sauce was delicious. I debated getting a pizza at first, but I'm really happy I went with this instead. My wife had the hummus and vegetables and the chicken wings. I tried the hummus and it was good. My wife probably wouldn't get the wings again as the meat was kind of lacking. The price was a little on the high side compared to some of the Vietnamese restaurants, but considering your getting premium Italian food while in Vietnam, it's not unreasonable. I would definitely go back and would try some of the other home...

Our compliments to the chef! We first enjoyed the green salad that was filled with veggie freshness and a nice portion for two. Our second dish was the calamari which also tasted so fresh and cooked perfectly, tender not one bite was over done. Next came the dish they call Pastafarian, pork meatballs with a red sauce over what may have been fresh pasta. I’m always a bit nervous trying certain dishes while traveling and pasta is one of them. I prefer an authentic al dente bite, and did My Casa ever deliver! So impressed. Now for the Sea Bass, our mouths are still watering when we recall this dish. A-mazing, melt in your mouth deliciousness, cooked to tender perfection. I am not sure if I’ve ever had a tastier piece of fish in all my life. Someone really knows what they are doing here. The broccoli and asparagus that accompanied our fish was also just perfect. All dishes came to our table hot, a very important element that I appreciate so very much. A meal to remember, may be the best we’ve had so far, in a month of traveling Vietnam. I also enjoyed a glass of their house Italian wine 🍷 which was beyond reasonably priced along with the whole meal as well. Our meal left us wanting to try more of My Casa’s menu.
