Read moreThis is another western/expat themed bar. There are locals here, which I enjoy that it’s a good mix. Not just salty old expats. Food Is par for the course: good prices. Good beer selection. Very cold beer and always served in a chilled glass. Live music on the weekends by an extremely talented American. He takes requests and he doesn’t disappoint. I feel like the more he plays here, the more people will come. The bartenders are very kind and do a good job of keeping your glass filled. The only gripe is that there is zero airflow. If you don’t have a fan, which I saw only 2, you literally melt in here. Like sweat buckets kind of heat and humidity. The way it’s built, the heat is trapped and just continues to build as the room fills with customers. Fix this issue, and customers will certainly stay and spend more money…enough to offset the costs in a short...
Read moreNice place, ok Asian and western food. Dropped on for dinner twice in 4 days. Was more impressed the first time. Now I realize, having spent close to 7 months in SE Asia, that sanitary standards are not the same as in north America or the EU. But I was not prepared to see one of the bar staff, a petite cute young lady, grab a salt shaker from the bartenders drink mix area, stick her finger in her mouth and then rub her wet finger all over the top of the shaker and stick her finger back in her mouth. When I suggested to her and the bartender that it was not sanitary to do such a thing they both giggled. I will give the benefit of the doubt that she does not understand enough English to comprehend what I was saying, as well as mimicking her actions, and perhaps the bartender was too busy to realize what had happened. Or perhaps that's just something one does when feeling the need for some salt. All I can hope for is that the owner of this establishment becomes aware, because I had a real hard time eating my dinner after...
