With that out of the way, my experience as a foreigner at the ti pi cafe: Your experience will vary depending on the time you go there and on the people that are working at the cafe. On average you will have a very nice talk with locals and other foreigners. Some minor pitfalls: The prices of the drinks are rather expensive by Vietnamese standards. They technically pay to get to practice their English with native speakers. And you as a native speaker are kind of expected to talk to people and have the patience with people whose level of English is rather low. Might be a rather difficult task for introverts. Try and talk to someone in charge first. They will provide you a good explanation on your options, like becoming a volunteer If you speak good English you can become a volunteer. Meaning you can help during English classes and get drinks for free if you talk to people during regular cafe hours.
