D'Lart Garden Drinking & Dining — Restaurant in Da Lat City

We visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. While the salad and steak were the undeniable highlights of the meal,well-executed and thoroughly enjoyable,the other dishes didn’t quite align with our preferences. That said, we understand the flavors are crafted to suit local tastes, which we respect.

The atmosphere was undeniably a strong point. The setting was cozy and inviting, with thoughtfully curated music that enhanced the overall mood. It’s a charming place, perfect for capturing beautiful moments and enjoying a refined ambiance.

However, the service left much to be desired. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, with only two groups dining (including our party of nine), we endured a lengthy 30-40 minute wait for just a few dishes. When the food arrived, the portions were surprisingly small,adequate for children but insufficient for adults,which led us to order more, extending the wait time even further.

The entire dinner spanned over two hours, and by the end, some dishes were still not served. Frustrated, we chose to cancel and leave. To add to the disappointment, the drinks were also served incorrectly, further diminishing the experience.

It makes one wonder: if service is this slow with minimal customers, how would it fare during peak hours? Would diners have to wait half a day for their meals?

Overall, we’d rate the food a 6/10. While the restaurant has potential, with its photogenic atmosphere and a few standout dishes, the inefficiency in service significantly detracted from what could have been a much more...

Buckle up — food took two hours, drinks took 45 minutes, water was boiling hot, beer was warm, staff brought out white wine when we ordered red, was sent back, new staff came by the table to inform us we needed to pay for the extra wine (language barrier what are ya gonna do), red wine finally comes out and you can tell it wasn’t freshly stomped, don’t we all hate that, food was flavorless, had to ask for some salt and pepper, staff looked at us like we had three heads, brings out salt and pepper five minutes later, drops the salt and pepper on the floor, must’ve been amateur hour, salad was fresh from the garden (I know this because I tasted hints of dirt), watched the chef pick a fresh flower from the same garden, turns out that flower made it to the top of the main dish as decoration, good effort, but he wasn’t successful in removing the bugs from the flower before plating, soup tasted microwaved and from a can, chicken wings came from freshly birthed chicks they were so small, one was smaller than the round part of my spoon, entire staff was functioning on approximately 8 fps, the quickest I saw any of them move was when the hostess chased us outside after we tried to dine and dash, atmosphere was chill don’t get me wrong, if I wasn’t leaving Dalat tomorrow, I’d be right back at this restaurant— just wouldn’t...

Wonderful dining experience at D’Lart. The food came out in a timely manner, fresh, and hot. Everything we ordered was delicious with great flavors. The beef dishes were incredibly tender- probably the best beef I had over 2 weeks in Vietnam. The dishes were flavorful and we finished every bite. Price point is a little on the higher side for Dalat, but the quality of the food is definitely high and worth it. The space itself is beautiful, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the views.
