I came to this small and cute little place in the morning for breakfast! I wasn't sure if they were open yet since the lights were still off when I arrived but they were just setting up. I was greeted by an adorable barking dog who is actually super sweet!!! His fur is soft and he let me give him tons of pets and scratches.
The space is small, clean, and cozy. With the Da Lat weather, it felt like a really calm and chill morning breakfast. They seemed to have a stack of literature for people to read? But I didn't take a look at them. It's likely all in Vietnamese so I wouldn't have been able to really read it anyway.
Food - Fried rice: Solid! Tasted lovely and as you'd generally expect. Maybe a bit on the dry side for some but this is exactly how I usually prefer it!
Tamarind sauce fried tofu: Slightly sweet but mostly tangy! The amount of sauce was right for me since I don't like things drenched. Paired well with the rice and a little of their sate chili!
Square spring rolls: Very crispy!! The inside filling felt...filling! Taste was yummy but I'd probably get the regular cha gio next time since I prefer the roll form factor versus the square, though I don't know if the fillings between both are the same or not.

Read moreMy partner and I shared a small hot pot (100.000 VND) and a plate of fried pumpkin with sesame (35.000 VND). I can’t imagine how large a medium or large hot pot would be because we were stuffed by the end of our meal! The hot pot had tofu, carrot, morning glory, cabbage, mushrooms, corn, and noodles. The broth was delicious and the ingredients were fresh. The fried pumpkin was really tasty with the addition of their red chili pepper sauce. For our first hot pot ever, we had a great experience. The restaurant is quaint and feels a bit like a home.
EDIT: We needed a quick lunch before boarding a bus, so we came back a day later! We ordered the spring roll vermicelli and the mushroom vermicelli noodles (35.000 VND each). The cold noodles were refreshing, the sauce was sweet, and the toppings were substantial. There was a lot of texture in each dish....
