A friend living in Hanoi was craving eel, so we ended up at Gangnam Myeonok — eel at a Korean restaurant? We were curious, but decided to give it a try.
Even though it was lunchtime, many tables were ordering eel, so we followed suit and got 500g of freshwater eel along with a braised tail dish (kkodari-jjim).
The three of us shared everything, and the portions were more than enough.
The kkodari-jjim came with a hot stone pot rice (sotbap), and we enjoyed the crispy scorched rice (nurungji) at the end.
