A — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

It was my mom's anniversary last Monday. We are 4 and came to the restaurant (Cao Thang st.) at around 12.30am upon suggestion of my cousin. It was totally disappointed and we all had bad mood after the lunch buffet here. I would rate 0 star for both food and service and hygiene. I cannot vote on their FB because this function is blocked. No specialities at all (snails and oysters only served in the afternoon/ weekend). Although we saw that "cá da bò" (one of the restaurant's specialities) is served in all meals but the waitress did not say anything when we ordered it until we were wondering why it was still not served to us, she said (with freezing face and no eye contact with the customer) that it's not available for lunch! Ok, fine. We continued with our ordered dishes but the most wanted ones (sun heo, ba chi bo, ba chi bo cuon pho mai va nam) did not come. Apertizers were poor, dessert ran out even it was still 2 hours until closed time for lunch. Nothing special in term of marinated foods and accompanying sauces (3 kinds). Beef and pork and other meats were too elastic. We had to wait more than 60 mins and repeat many times to have the missing dishes that we ordered at the beginning. I really got angry when I saw that the waitress brought that dish to 2 other men (who must be the boss's friends) who just arrived but nothing for us. It was not crowded this day. The waitresses are free and just stood for chatting without seeing that their customers have nothing to eat and were waiting for them. Nothing to say! We ended this disappointed lunch with the signature (and only) hot-pot of the restaurant which we only can eat with beef (nothing else) The worse thing is when we left the restaurant. The staff are cleaning the ground floor and it was really disaster! I must see 10 dead cockroaches on the floor. They are everywhere: in the restrooms, on the corridor, at the reception and next to the door. I would vomit all I ate couple mins ago. I really don't understand how the others can recommend this restaurant and how they can run their business in this way. Or because the owner (artist Kim Tu Long) was not there on that day so we had such a bad experience? With this price, I should have a better satisfaction at many other buffet restaurants in...

I was skeptical upon analyzing people review on this restaurant as it quite mixed between good and bad. But thinking it wouldn't hurt to give it a try and experience it for myself, so I went there together with a group of friends of mine to test the water. The first impression was quite positive because the place was crowded with people dinning together with their families and spouses, both my friends and I were thinking this might be worth our time! However... it was only disappointment for all of us. Most of us aren't actually picky with our tastebuds but to our surprises the foods were pretty tasteless, most of it lacked flavor, even the smell lacked flavor when we were grilling our meats! The salmon was okay though, but our kimchi wasn't because the lack of spiciness you would usually find in kimchi wasn't there so it was quite bland. Beside the food then the service was terrible, at least for our table. It was slow despite having a handful available staff ready most of the time. They were quick to take our order but the delivering is another matter, one of the staff deliberately ignored one of my friend empty dipping sauce pot when the staff was refilling despite eyes contact was made and the empty dipping pot was lifted in front of the staff. Free refill on drinks were good though. For my experience I wouldn't recommend this restaurant as your dinning place, as there a dozen of BBQ restaurant that offer a cheaper price and more tasty experience, hopefully others had a better...

Eat here if you want to be food poisoned and treated like dirt by staff.

When we arrived, our table was completely wet and the floor was oily, full of trash. When we asked to change table, one waiter said "we're NOT going to change, but we'll clean the floor". And guess what, he mopped it for 2 seconds and left with all the trash still on the floor.

Staff paid ZERO attention to their customers. The only guy that was doing his job was a tanned, curly hair waiter; while the rest of them just stood in the corner, chewing and chatting to each other.

They put the tables like 15cm away from each other. Everytime a waiter came for the next table, his leg/butt would either touch our food, or knock something off our table.

They advertised the place as smokeless grill but 90% of the time the whole restaurant is filled with smoke, without any ventilation.

When we asked for a VAT invoice, instead of issuing on the spot or sending it back to office (like any other places in Vietnam), they told us to personally come and pick it up 2 weeks later.

The morning after dinning here, I had insane stomachache, vomitting and diarrhea. I've been to a many grill/bbq buffets but this was the first time it happaned.
