Amore Gelato — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

I am a German tourist and this was my first time eating authentic Italian cream in Vietnam could taste sooo good, even better than Italian ice cream in Germany! The ice cream was so rich and so creamy And the flavours we're exceptionally amazing. Compared to the ice cream I've tried in Germany the flavour was so intensive and you could taste that the ice cream from Amore was made from fresh ingredients. I tried Oreo, durian and my all time favorite pistachio. All three were on Point, not to sweet, pistachio tastes actually like real pistachio and durian was a new experience for me. I will definitely come to visit again to try the other tropical fruit ice cream like soursop or Passion fruit, flavour I haven't seen at any other ice cream stores before.

Very impressive. About as good a gelato I've had outside of Italy which is high praise. We tried strawberry, pistachio, Oreo and salted caramel flavours and every single one was rich and tasty, smooth, and with a strong taste of the flavour it represented. The pistachio and strawberry in particular were excellent. Flavour and texture wise this place does an excellent job, I was actually shocked at how good it was but less so when I watched the videos on their TV of how they prepare the ice cream, they clearly know what they are doing. It's quiet and in an area you may not normally go, but it's worth the detour. Nice venue too with seating inside and outside and well decorated. One of the best gelatos I have had in this city. This store's specialties are durian, pistachio and avocado flavors, which all hit me with a stunning taste, full of essence from fresh ingredients imbued into a soft, creamy, fat but totally not overwhelming texture. Accompanying that is a crunchy, small but satisfiable waffle.

However, there is a big problem about mosquitoes and their bites, I would reccommend planting more anti-mosquito plants like rosemary, lavender or basil, or try using insect repellant essence/oil.
