The Coffee House at 572 Đ. 3 Tháng Hai is the ideal spot if you're in the mood for coffee, corporate gaslighting, and an existential crisis served with a side of passive aggression.
The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a beautifully displayed main menu. It confidently offers a 1-shot cappuccino, leading you to believe—foolishly—that you live in a world where hot drinks follow the same rules as cold ones. But no. You poor, deluded fool. That 1-shot cappuccino? Only available cold. Because obviously, the laws of thermodynamics don’t apply here.
Ask for that same drink hot and watch as the barista squints at you like you’ve asked to borrow their national ID card. Then comes the scripted reply—delivered with the warmth of an ATM machine: “You can take it up with head office.” A statement so detached from reality it deserves its own TED Talk on “How to Outsource Accountability.”
Want to see the hot drink options? Sure, just hunt down the secret hot drink menu—a flimsy laminated card tossed on the counter like a forgotten UNO card. By the time you find it, the staff are already looking at you with the dead-eyed expression of someone who has had this conversation way too many times but still won't acknowledge that it's absurd.
And let’s talk about the staff: Polite? Not really. Helpful? Define "helpful."
They repeat the script like a chorus in a tragic opera where every act ends with you ordering something you didn’t want. It’s customer service reimagined as performance art. One star for the sheer dedication to indifference.
Then, just when you think the madness has peaked—pizza. Yes, pizza. Random, towering slices of New York-style pizza in a coffee shop. Because nothing says "signature beverage experience" quite like a slab of lukewarm mozzarella at 10:00am in the Vietnamese humidity.
Conclusion: Want a 1-shot hot cappuccino? You can’t have one. Menus? Deceptive at best, psychological warfare at worst. Staff? Take it up with head office Pizza? A desperate cry for help disguised as a menu expansion.
Two stars. One for the audacity. One for the pizza’s emotional support. The rest are somewhere at head office, waiting for...
Read moreIt was the first time to come the shop where is quite close my apartment 10 minutes walk. Too sad, there was not good enough table for a guest. I sitted temporarily a mutual table as staff said. After my tea came quickly and i was waiting for a while, then asked one of staff when i may have a table for one as they promised but he can not give me the answer. There were more customers came like me without no chair. Thus after my time cosuming, I left there with full of upset when the drink costs me 55k dong. I think if the shop were not so busy and the staff paid more attention, it would solved by slipping tables or good organisations. Bad experience with that branch while others are much better in my views. Never come back the branch of 3/2 street. I dont think I highly recommendation there...
Read moreExceeded my expectations. For how small it looks on the outside, there's surprisingly plenty of room inside. Air-conditioned, brightly lit, well decorated, lots of windows and natural lighting for daytime, music isn't too loud, bathrooms are clean, staff bring your coffee to your table. Atmosphere is perfect for work. The interior design features a loft and a 2nd floor with more seating. Very comfortable. They do not require you to order something to linger and do not bother you at all. Thank you The Coffee House for being in Saigon. You are like my 2nd office. I really...
