Dining at Banh Xeo was a delightful immersion into authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The pancakes, crispy on the outside and generously filled, were a flavor revelation, especially when paired with the assortment of fresh herbs introduced to us. Every bite felt like a dance of textures and tastes, encapsulating the rich culinary tapestry of Vietnam. Our experience was elevated manifold by the expertise of Ahn and Thuy from the Street Food Man tour. Their deep knowledge, coupled with their genuine enthusiasm, illuminated the traditions behind the dishes and taught us the true Vietnamese way of savoring them. With each morsel, we felt more connected to the culture, and that’s a testament to the skill and passion of our wonderful guides. For anyone seeking an authentic and enriching gastronomic journey in Vietnam, Banh Xeo and the Street Food Man tour is an unbeatable combination. Highly recommended!

Anna from the Street Food Man tour introduced us to Banh Xeo and this place is a hidden gem. Banh Xeo Tom Thit, Vietnamese pancake with shrimp, pork and octopus was delicious, and served with fresh herbs. This pancake was not oil like other places. The banh khot were amazing as well, this was our first time trying Banh khot which is made from a batter of rice flour, corn starch, turmeric powder, water and coconut milk. They are usually topped with shrimp, brushed with scallion oil, and sprinkled with minced dried salted shrimp. If you are looking for authentic Vietnamese food this is the place for you.

Ordered the banh xeo & banh kot. The banh xeo is a fried pancake that is covered with bean sprouts, shrimp, squids, & grilled pork. If you are a seafood lover you would love this. You wrap it up with the vege they gave & dip it in sauce or you can eat it directly as well tho it may seem abit oily. The ban koht is the small pancake which is served with coconut milk. They serve two types of those small pancakes, the ones with prawns & the other with grilled minced pork. It’s definetly one of your must try locals here.

When we arrived, there were only a few people already there dining. We grabbed a table for 7. A server took our order. Soon after our order was taken, the rest of the tables filled up with diners. I noticed a few tables nearby were served their food before us and they had arrived after us. All we ordered were banh xeo and banh kot for our table. The banh kot came out before the banh xeo, and there was a long delay before our banh xeo came out. Diners in our group finished eating their banh kot before our banh xeo came out. Being that these items were their main specialty, our table service should’ve been quicker and served before other tables that also ordered banh xeo. We had to get the attention of a server to insist on having our food brought out. Once it did come out, the...
