Pizza 4P's on Lê Đại Hành in Ho Chi Minh City presents a fascinating blend of Japanese precision and Italian culinary tradition, resulting in a dining experience that's both comforting and innovative. My recent visit, while generally enjoyable and deserving of a solid 4 out of 5 stars, highlighted both the strengths and a few minor shortcomings of this popular establishment. The ambiance, a crucial element in any dining experience, is consistently warm and inviting. The restaurant's design, a mix of modern minimalism and rustic charm, creates a relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere. The open kitchen, a hallmark of Pizza 4P's, allows diners to witness the chefs at work, crafting pizzas with meticulous care. The sight of the wood-fired oven and the aroma of baking dough contribute to a sense of anticipation and authenticity. The service, for the most part, was efficient and friendly. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and readily offered recommendations. However, during peak hours, the service could feel slightly rushed, which detracted somewhat from the overall experience.
The star of the show, as expected, is the pizza. Pizza 4P's is renowned for its commitment to quality ingredients and innovative flavor combinations. The crust, thin and crispy with a slightly chewy edge, is perfectly baked in the wood-fired oven, providing a delightful textural contrast. The toppings are fresh and flavorful, sourced from local farms and suppliers whenever possible. The cheese, particularly the homemade mozzarella, is creamy and rich, adding a luxurious touch to each slice. While the pizzas are undoubtedly delicious, the menu also offers a variety of other Italian-inspired dishes. The pasta, salads, and appetizers are all prepared with the same attention to detail and commitment to quality. However, for me, the standout dish wasn't a pizza, but rather the shrimp and avocado salad. It was a revelation.
The shrimp and avocado salad at Pizza 4P's is a masterclass in balance and freshness. The plump, succulent shrimp were perfectly grilled, retaining their natural sweetness and tenderness. The avocado, creamy and ripe, provided a rich and buttery counterpoint to the shrimp. The salad was dressed with a light, tangy vinaigrette that complemented the flavors without overpowering them. The addition of fresh greens and herbs added a vibrant touch and a refreshing crunch. The combination of textures and flavors was simply exquisite, a testament to the chef's skill in creating a harmonious and satisfying dish. The salad was so well executed that it overshadowed even the most acclaimed pizzas on the menu. The freshness of the seafood, the creamy texture of the avocado, and the bright, clean dressing created a symphony of flavors that danced on the palate. One could tell that each ingredient was chosen with care, and the final product was a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality.
While the shrimp and avocado salad was a highlight, the overall dining experience at Pizza 4P's Lê Đại Hành was very positive. The restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients, innovative flavor combinations, and attentive service is evident in every aspect of the dining experience. However, there are a few areas where the restaurant could improve. The pacing of the meal, particularly during peak hours, could be more relaxed. The service, while generally efficient, could be more personalized and attentive. The prices, while reasonable for the quality of the food, are slightly higher than other pizza restaurants in the area.
Furthermore, while the menu is diverse, it could benefit from a few more vegetarian and vegan options. While the restaurant offers a few vegetarian pizzas and salads, the selection is limited. The addition of more plant-based dishes would cater to a wider range of dietary preferences. Also, the noise level can be quite high, especially during peak hours. The open kitchen and the bustling atmosphere can make it difficult to have a conversation, which can be a drawback for those seeking a more intimate...
Read moreThis was my very first visit to Pizza 4P’s and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The restaurant itself has a beautiful atmosphere — open, green, and lively, yet still cosy enough to feel comfortable. It’s the kind of place where you immediately feel at ease.
I was served by Trang and her section manager, and I want to highlight how much they elevated the whole evening. Both were professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. It’s rare to come across service that feels so natural and sincere.
The food matched the quality of the service. The meal started with a thoughtful complimentary appetizer, which was a wonderful way to begin. The pizza was outstanding — fresh, full of flavour, and baked perfectly with that balance of a crisp crust and soft centre. Everything tasted like it was made with care.
What surprised me most, and really made the evening special, was the ending. The staff brought out a free ice cream with a candle to celebrate my very first visit. That small gesture made me feel genuinely welcomed, as if I wasn’t just another customer but a guest they truly wanted to take care of.
Overall, Pizza 4P’s left me with such a positive impression — a mix of delicious food, thoughtful details, and above all, warm hospitality from Trang and her manager. I’ll definitely be returning, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Pizza 4P’s to anyone looking for both great food and...
Read moreEarlier, I called the restaurant multiple times to book a reservation but there was no answer. Luckily, I got a place for 1 pers without reservation. The service was spectacular with no complaints. Everyone involved in the process of making food was wearing a hairnet, except the waiters. The atmosphere was a little bit too hot and it couldn’t be fixed because the restaurant uses the building’s ventilation. The waiters offered though place-switching but there was no point of it. There was no olive oil on the table, a thing that should be found ready in every Italian restaurant. I ordered a glass of white sangria, which was refreshing and summery. Burrata with Parma Ham and Tropical Fruits was a good starter for the meal. The saltiness from the ham, the freshness of sweet and sour tropical fruits, and the cheesiness of burrata made a perfect combination. The entrée was Crab Tomato Spaghetti. There was fresh smell and fresh taste of crab. Lots of crab meat was presented on the dish. The tomato sauce itself was good. the The house-made chili oil on the table was hot and a perfect complimentary sauce to the dish. The desert was Greek Yoghurt Panna Cotta with Tropical Fruits. The Panna Cotta had a really strong taste. The white thing was some sort of thin crispy sponge with an outer layer of white chocolate. It gave the taste of ginger as well. The dish was a good combination of a...
