Khách Sạn Lam Sơn — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

The hotel receptionist did not provide a room for the guest who had already made a reservation, even though it was already 5:00 pm, on the grounds that the Agoda app was not informed that the hotel was fully booked. The guest was asked to wait for several hours before a room became available. The receptionist suggested that the guest cancel the reservation made through the app to avoid charges. When the guest finally checked in, they were given a room much smaller than the one advertised on the app - only measuring around 10 square meters; the room had a low ceiling of about 2.2 meters and showed signs of mold and dampness. The air conditioning unit could not be controlled to adjust the temperature. Moreover, the sink drained water all over the floor, and the showerhead sprayed water upwards instead of on the guest. The furniture was also small...

How this place has a 4.3 stars is confusing at best. You walk into the hotel and are greeted with a damp trash smell. The elevator can only handle two people with suitcases and often doesn't work and makes concerning noises.

By the time you make it to your floor, you're greeted with mold on every wall. You go into your room and have more mold on the ceilings. I have no clue how this is habitable and legal for people to stay here.

I completely understand why it's an hourly hotel because those that just want to be there for an hour to do their business wouldn't care about mold. Otherwise, I really would NOT recommend staying here.

Seeing the owners responses to some of the reviews here made me think they would have done something to rectify some of the issues but nope, it's just the same....

I am confused on why this hotel has such high ratings. Ive seen better hotels than this with lower ratings. They must be bought.

This place needs serious attention. The moment you walk in, there’s a strong damp, musty smell. The elevator is tiny. It can only fit two skinny people with backpacks and makes worrying noises.

The hallways and rooms have mold on the walls and ceilings, and the AC is so old it barely blows cold air. It’s honestly uncomfortable and feels unsafe to stay here. Definitely not worth the money. I wouldn’t recommend this...
