Steakhouse The Fan — Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City

The place is nice albeit a bit small, the service is very good and the staffs were a bit too attentive, swept in immediately started cleaning during your meal (they only took away spare dishes but it kind of ruined the vibes). THE SECURITY GUARDS WERE NICE!! it was raining so they escorted us to the Starbucks next by.

The food is underwhelming, not something to write home about. The beef was alright and there was a 50% off promotion on Thursdays.

the complimentary bread was kinda meh, its okay since its hot but the quality of the bread itself was chewy, flavorless. They came with balsamic vinegar & (vegetable) oil, garlic pâté, and butter. The butter tasted like those big blocks bought at the supermarket still frozen stiff, the vinegar wasn’t special or anything and the pâté just wasn’t it for me, it smelled of garlic in the worst way.

Royal salad (Caesar salad with smoked salmon), okay tasting, just average caesar.

The pumpkin shrimp soup was kinda odd to me since there was a big mass of caramelized onion in the middle that infested the entire soup with onion smell, completely overpowered the pumpkin.

The seafood black spaghetti with crab sauce was underwhelming and the seafood used wasn’t good, squid was very rubbery (like its frozen), 1 piece of veal doesn’t smelled bad, and the shrimp wasn’t fresh. Pasta texture was so the sauce was so boring despite there being so much of it.

The steak was 8/10, alright and correctly cooked.

We were in the mood for a steak and ended up at "The Fan" Steak house, and boy are we glad we ended up here. it starts with a majestic welcome, a very nicely set dining room. we felt a bit underdressed, but that was not an issue at all. after being seated we were presented with the very extensive menu. we chose duck liver, carpaccio, rib-eye and the t-bone steak. by far the best steak dishes in all of Vietnam (imo). it is expensive but definitely worth it and compared to european prices very friendly priced for the quality of dishes, atmosphere and service. if there were 6 stars ratings they would definitely...

We had lunch here today, and unfortunately, my experience wasn't entirely smooth. However, I appreciate that the staff members acknowledged their mistake and sincerely apologized to us, both at the restaurant and through a follow-up phone call. They went the extra mile by offering additional meal, demonstrating a responsible approach to resolving the issue with their customers. The restaurant ambiance was comfortable and quite cozy.
