Golden Sun Apartment — Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City

We stayed here the whole time during our summer trip in Vietnam. The hotel located in Phu My Hung area which is a quiet and safe neighbourhood. One of the top reason we decided to book here.

There was construction noise nearby during the day but it wasn’t too bad and ended around 5pm. Our sleep wasn’t disturbed at all. Many amenities nearby such as restaurants, 7-11/Circle K, a cafe, pharmacy - literally just steps away. It was super convenient. Also it’s not too far to go to downtown core by taxi.

I lived in HCMC for 4 years before living so I know what I’m doing and where I wanted to stay. D7 is a bit further from D1 but it’s safe and is where I’m most comfortable staying. The staff Truong was kind and courteous and they have cheap and fast laundry service which I took advantage of as I was staying for 5 nights. The room was grand and comfortable with a fantastic coffee machine that makes 5 star coffee. I had the sofa suite on the ground floor with the extra balcony. Place is located where you can easily walk around to the best pho (pho hung) around the corner. Just be aware that the staff isn’t at the front desk at night. However, there’s a 24 hr number where you can call if you need anything. I had a 2am flight and needed to check out at 11:00pm. I just called the number the there was a staff there to tend to my check out in 10minutes. New hotel. Love it!...

I unfortunately had a very stressful experience during check-in. Despite notifying the staff multiple times about my late arrival, I encountered significant difficulties. There was only one receptionist covering two brunches, and when I arrived, he was at the other location, leaving me without assistance at 3 a.m. After searching for help and feeling quite desperate, I was fortunate to find him just as I was considering looking for alternative accommodations. My calls went unanswered despite my earlier notifications about my late check-in, which added to my frustration. On a positive note, the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained. It truly has the potential to be a wonderful place to stay if they can improve their communication and staffing during late hours. I hope they address this issue for...
