We have this place bookmarked since a few months and today Saturday May 11 we decided to try. We arrived around 2pm and it was only the 2 of us, no other customer. We were greeted and brought over to a indoor table as we asked for airconditioner. The place is lovely, nicely decorated with a chill atmosphere. The young lady who greeted us were our server, she was very polite, super nice and attentive, she deserved 5 stars. After the food was served, we saw her leaving, we guessed she had finished her working shift. From here on, it was quite unpleasant as we noticed the music was cut off, then started again very loud, then off and on with numerous different songs every minutes, we looked over to the counter and saw a male server and another young lady behind the counter were dancing and making jokes, after that, the young lady also came out of the xounter and they danced together. It was quite UNPROFESSIONAL as we were customers wanting to enjoy a chill, quiet lunch. Atmostphere was nice if the 2 workers didn't ruin it, hence 5 stars mịnus 3 for the unprofessional behavior. Food looked beautiful but tasteless. My husband ordered chicken burger, he is a very easy eater and yet he couldn't finish, I ordered my favorite dish Egg benedict, the sauce wasn't the same Hollandaise sauce I know, besides I wondered if the eggs were not fresh or something made my stomach upset the whole afternoon. We gave food 2 stars for beautiful presentation. The bill was vnd 503.000 After this disappointment, we don't think we ever come back to...
Read moreI visited Tartine yesterday in the evening and had a drink. The most bizarre part of the visit was when a waitress entered the dining room with an ironing board and a box of wrinkled napkins. She sat down at a dining table, ironing the napkins right there in the middle of the restaurant, blocking the table for incoming customers. I've never seen anything like this before. Ironing napkins should be done outside of business hours. Not during, and certainly not in the same room as paying customers. This was extremely weird. As for drinks, they were also rather disappointing. I ordered a mojito, which was mostly ice, lime, and mint, with not much alcohol. Considering the 150K price tag, it was not worth it. While I could overlook the lackluster drink, I cannot overlook the bizarre ironing incident. This experience was far from what I expected, and I won't...
Read moreHave been a customer of Tartine for quite sometime - mostly from their D1 D3 and D2 outlets but this one made us wonder why has become of Tartine. The ceiling fan is sue along, they have cut the plate mate in a third to “optimize” cost I assume, with not even nice cut and without know how to handle the seam. Middle of our dinner around 7.30pm, the peak time for dining, the staff suddenly occupied the whole big dinning table for ironing as if this is a street food eatery or it’s her home. For this price and benchmark with my former experience, we expected some standard.
Tartine should define review their S&OP, operations and train their staff properly or they shouldn’t be surprised why customers turn away from...
