I didn’t know what “made with love” meant until I had my first bite of food from CHAY corner. Location is a little off on the map, you might have to enter from the street behind it and you will see signs leading to the restaurant. Mung is the little lady who is the server and chef. She doesn’t speak much English but the menu has translations so all you have to do is point and she will take the best care of you 🙂 the restaurant is literally in her home and the most authentic experience I had in Hue. Plus, it is all vegetarian so I went for dinner every night! I even befriended her daughter who organized a cooking class for me on my last day in Hue. We made the famous pancake and the dumplings. If traveling through Hue, you MUST have at least one meal at CHAY corner. And visit their Da Nang and Hoi An...

Absolutely one of the best places I have visited during my time in both Vietnam and Thailand. Located through some residential back streets off the main road but signposted all the way and definitely worth the trip. The place is run by one woman who takes your order, cooks the food and brings it to you and she is just a delight to be served and fed by. Her positivity and kindness is so great that it transcends the language barrier and her food is absolutely amazing. We had fresh spring rolls, some mixed dumplings and bÚn tráŧ™n rau as well as complimentary tea and dessert at the end of our meal - everything was fresh, flavourful and delicious. Such a great find and would definitely...

The Google Maps location was slightly off when we visited. Luckily we spotted a sign for chay corner a bit further ahead. It seems to be a branch/franchise as the menu, matched that of the chay corner in Da Nang.

The place is small but the old lady was incredibly warm and hospitable. Since we had to rush, we opted for takeout and she was able to prepare everything within 15 minutes. Also, You can use google translate to communicate with her.

I ordered the traditional dumplings which tasted great and seaweed fried rice is highly recommended. However the veggie fried noodles were just okay...

You should definitely try this restaurant! The food is excellent. This place shows that vegetarian food can taste better than many non-vegetarian restaurants. And the owner was so kind which made the experience even better. I saved this restaurant on my list a while ago but forgot that it only serves vegetarian food. When I started eating, the flavors were so rich that I didn’t even notice there was no meat until halfway through my meal. Every dish was so delicious that I ordered more than I originally planned on eating. The short 5–10 minute trip from the city center was completely worth it.

I'm sitting here at CLAY, again. Came yesterday and had to come back, the food is so delicious and the owner is so smart and heartful, she don't speak much English, but that really does not matter, she can communicate with body and her menu is in English. Dumblings, Vietnamese pancake or soups, it was all so flavorful 💚 Some of the best vegan food I had here in Vietnam. Note Google maps, show you a rute from the vest, you come in from a small road from the east. (I got in from the south with help from a sweet older man, he even came with my bicycle, after the detour)
