At noon when I came to the cafe there were no avocados so I had to take a bacon and egg waffle, it was good.
I was glad to see lavender raf on the menu, but when I tried it I was perplexed as I didn't taste even a trace of lavender in it. I had to take a couple of sips to make sure that there was not even the slightest taste of lavender in my coffee. I went downstairs to make sure that I had gotten the right coffee. And I was told that it was lavender raf with 25 mL of syrup, I was presented with the syrup which smelled like lavender indeed. I finished my meal, I didn't drink the coffee as it was just too sweet and no lavender taste whatsoever. I went downstairs then and told the owner that I was very sad about my lavender coffee experience at his place. He said that there had been 500 people before me in 2 years that they had the lavender raf there, and if you compare 500 people to one (me), who would it count? He also said that they did increase the lavender syrup added to 40 mL for some people (I bet not everyone then was satisfied with the 25 mL recipe) but it was too much for them. He also said several times that it was a natural syrup not like Monin in Sweet Secret, but I just want to taste lavender in my coffee even if it's a subtle taste be it natural or not. The owner said that I should talk to barrister, which I did, the barrister said apothetically that it's his job he does it for years and he doesn't smell coffee anymore. It's the absolute lack of passion, consumer oriented service, and idea of progress that set me back. I ordered another coffee this time 40ml of syrup and no sugar, it tasted better, but I do agree it was too much in terms of aftertaste. It still didn't taste up to the mark, and it cost me 150k (75k per cup, the first one went to the sewage).
The attitude of the cafe (aka you don't like it here - you go some other place, and your opinion doesn't matter) leaves me no other choice but to leave this negative review to make sure that my opinion does matter and it hopefully would be helpful to other people who potentially look into the option of ...
Read moreAbsolutely the best legitimate coffee in town. Pasha is an amazing barista and he is so passionate to help you choose the right beans and makes sure your cup of coffee is at it’s best. The brewing was so smooth and very flavorful, which is somewhat hard to find in Nha Trang cuz most coffee places only have the sweet Vietnamese coffee versions. The place is very small but cozy, and he sometimes even gives you a mystery refresh drink for free and if you can guess what it is, he will brew another cup of coffee for you for free. I absolutely recommend this place if youre looking for a real legit...
Read moreGuru is not just the best coffee I found in my search across Vietnam, it was the only roaster that had the talent and passion to unlock the true flavors grown in the second largest producer of coffee in the world. Exceptional coffee on a global level roasted and prepared by exceptional guys. I went here everyday, tried the best cup of coffee I’d ever had and even learnt a little more about the world of coffee. If you want more than just dark roasted Asian coffee, if you don’t just drink coffee but love coffee, you have to stop by and try a cup. Thank you once again to the...
