I had never seen a capybara before coming in, and I was so stoked about it. This is my third time traveling to Vietnam and staying in Nha Trang and I chose to search up if they had a capybara cafe, thankfully it was 5-10 minutes away from where I’m staying! We first came in and the restaurant decor is adorable. Lanterns, a big mirror facing your chairs, and greenery atmosphere! We were greeted by somebody right away and were asked about options of wanting to feed the animals or just buy drinks; as there are packages depending on if you want to see them or not. When we came in, there was one capybara and it was the calmest thing ever!! There are also guinea pigs, rabbits, and some other small animals. I went in at a time where there were lots of people so the whole room was filled up. But I find that it’s great how you can stay as long as you want! The room is so relaxing and it was full of smiles for me being able to meet a capybara. I feed it with the food (you have to buy) which were carrots and lettuce. The owners are very sweet and at one point talked to my group about the capybara and how it’s extremely smart. The capybara was sitting in a corner and wanted to walk out of the room and the owner explained that the capybara- named Billy :) got sad. I think it’s so cute because me and my friends could all see Billy turn away when we tried to speak to him. Overall, 10/10 recommend Capybara coffee and tea!! Drinks were lowkey mid (I got a strawberry yogurt drink, my friend: a match), but I came for...
Read moreThis was honestly one of the best experiences of my life since I love animals, and I really enjoyed it here. The café has capybaras (one small and one very large!), plus guinea pigs, rabbits, and hamsters that you can feed and even hold on your lap with a towel they provide. The animals were very gentle — one guinea pig gave me a tiny nibble, but nothing serious. It’s perfect for anyone who loves being around animals.
The entry is super affordable — only 80,000 VND, which includes a drink and food for the animals. We tried the salted coffee and it was actually pretty good!
That being said, the place can get quite crowded, especially around lunchtime. The area itself is not very big, so with too many people it can feel uncomfortable and noisy. I’d recommend visiting in the morning or later in the evening when it’s quieter — we stayed a bit longer and eventually had the animal area all to ourselves, which was amazing.
The only thing I wish was a bit better is that the staff could keep a closer eye on how visitors interact with the animals, especially kids. Sometimes people don’t really know how to handle them properly, which made me feel a little sad for the animals.
Overall, though, this is a really fun and unique spot — especially if you come at the right time to avoid the crowds. The staff also speaks some English, which made things easier. Definitely worth a visit if you...

If you care about animal welfare in any way at all, please DO NOT support this place. Please go to the Catarchy cat cafe instead, which is like a 10 minute drive away. The cats here however are kept in a small smelly and dirty room, and the worst part is that the cafe allows children to play with the cats completely unsupervised, meaning the cats are subject to extremely poor treatment. Two children were in there whilst we were there, being incredibly rough with the cats. They were picking them up, hitting them, scaring them etc… This is not okay at all, and it seriously made me concerned for the well-being of the cats. All they need to do is have a member of staff sitting in the room with the cats making sure they are not being treated so poorly, instead the staff turn a blind eye and allow the cats to be played with like a children’s toy. This place was really really disappointing, please do not go until they start actually caring about their animals. Live animals are never ever just...
