To start with the food was tasty and high quality with pretty cheap prices compared to other Viet seafood spots in the city.

We ended up here as another, more famous seafood spot nearby was too busy.

Perhaps if we had been able to sit in Tam Meo's main location on Tran Phu the service would have been better and the atmosphere too.

However as we were seated in their 2nd location (about 50 meters away) we really struggled to get our dishes. It took 35 minutes for the first dish to arrive and another 20/25 minutes or so for the other dishes to come.

Now I appreciate that it was a Friday night and prime dinner time, but that doesn't excuse surly, rude waiters and service slower than the snails that are served when they were alive.

We weren't the only tables to complain to the moody waiters.

I can't say I recommend as although the food was good with cheap prices, the service was some of the worst I have had in the last 12 months.

Go to another place until the owner of this one retrains...

Local goes here, food is very fresh and tasty. It's seafood-only restaurant, they don't serve porks. Price is reasonable, we went for a group of ten and ordered several menus (6-7 menus with 2 portions each), it's around 85 USD and trust me, restaurant in town is mostly a ripped-off especially the one the taxi driver brings you to (they will always say the place you find by yourself is not good and they will bring you to a good one.

Expect to show them a picture of what you want, or use google translate. Only one (looks like the co-owner) can speak basic English.
