Tyro Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Nha Trang City

We enjoyed our experience here. Buzzing atmosphere, good quality seafood. Prices were displayed and we were billed correctly. Staff were very attentive. The restaurant looks newly renovated.

We took a taxi from our hotel to this restaurant, but the taxi stopped outside the Co Thanh restaurant instead which is next door to Hai San Ty Ro.

The people at Co Thanh restaurant claimed to be Hai San Ty Ro. Fortunately some staff from Hai San Ty Ro next door saw us and called to us to come to their restaurant. I would advise anyone coming to this area to beware what the taxi drivers say to you and make sure you look for the lit signs above the restaurants that identifies the Hai San Ty Ro logo.

The seafood was fresh, but the seasoning and toppings were off-putting. The spring onions shadow the seafood taste but it wasn't too bad. The peanut, however, ruined the food.

Ordering seafood was difficult since there is no menu. The staff help you choose the seafood but not sure if they do the same for foreigners. Foreigners who don't understand Vietnamese will stick to the rice and noodles menu, which is a tourist trap. The dish will be 99% rice and 1% seafood.

The dishes I ordered were expensive but the way they were cooked made them taste cheap. Totally not worth the price.

This is where you order cheap things and drink with friends, not where you go to taste seafood.

Spacious, great and helpful staff, and the seafood is fresh and prepared fresh for you. It's so good! Be careful if you have a nut allergy, as they tend to have peanuts in a lot of the toppings (even on the oysters, which was strangely delicious!) But seriously, the food is really great. We stopped here in our way to the hotel from the airport. We were jetlagged, overheating and starting to get a bug (everyone was sniffling and running a low grade fever). But we ate here and had some kind of fish hot pot (I do not remember the real name), but it was delicious and we all felt better and energized after our late lunch here. Can't go wrong...
