CANTINE TAM COC Coffee - All day Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner — Restaurant in Ninh Bình Province

Cannot recommend this place enough. Came here 3 times in the last few days. Delicious food. With 2 families and lots of kids everyone was very excited about the tasty dishes. Slow roasted tomato soup with home made bread rich and tasty. Our kids loved the pumpkin soup. We tried the tagliatelle bolognese, spaghetti with cream and mushrooms (special order not on the menu), spaghetti carbonara, tagliatelle al arrabiata: home made pasta and all very tasty. Pasta comes with a side dish of salat with a nice balsamic dressing. English breakfast was big and nice. Shakshuka was very well spiced, rich and came with their yammi bread. Avocado and poached egg on toast we also ordered several times. Caesar salat is big and good. Besides the good food the family who runs the restaurant is lovely. The place is decorated with taste and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Was a joy to eat here with our families. Ah... and top quality coffeemachine which made very good coffee (freshly ground) of which we ordered many :)...

Had dinner early around 5:30pm. We’re the only customers at that time. Simple menu with limited choices present. Menu was in English. Food took some time to be served and all 4 dishes order were served at the same time.

Ordered three different pasta to try. Each pasta came with a free bowl of salad tossed in balsamic dressing. Pasta is cooked slightly softer (not al dente).

For the avocado and egg, the bread was slightly hard and there was no seasoning on the avocado. Would recommend adding your own salt and pepper for additional favour.

Myself and my girlfriend have been here twice since we have been in Tam Coc, once for lunch where we had the homemade tomato soup and the tagliatelle arrabiata, the second time we went for dinner and had the Tag Arribiata again And the Tag Limone both with chicken added as an extra. The food was unbelievable and definitely the best pasta we have had in south east Asia. All of the sauces and the pasta is home made and it shows. The restaurant is very reasonably priced and the owners are amazing, she even gave us some Vietnamese Apples grown in her garden to try as a dessert for free. We would 100% recommend and will definitely be back before we...
