My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the "superior" room at this hotel on our 23 day trip in Vietnam. The picture on the website is a little deceiving as one enters the hotel at the end of the its rectangular structure (not lengthwise side). Construction is going on next door but we did not find that to be any disadvantage. The room is straight forward. Nothing particularly outstanding, but it was clean and had nearly everything we needed. Remember that one is in a fairly rural location here. The mattress was comfortable. The room has blackout curtains. There is a walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. The bathroom lighting is very poor. The internet is free and has good connection and fairly good speed. There is one English (news) channel on the flat screen TV. There are no washcloths or Kleenex. We ate dinner both nights at the hotel. It is a fixed price menu of only one selection but variety is offered within that selection. We found it very good and at an incredibly low cost. I would recommend. It is located about 6.5 Km from the center of town, so renting bicycles or taking a taxi would...
Read moreHotel is undergoing major renovation at the back of the hotel. ||Both side of the hotel are also having construction of new hotels.||We had stayed at those rooms not yet renovated and it's totally run down. One of the shower door is missing in one of the room and water splashes all over the toilet when u bathe. Bathroom was totally acceptable for a 2 or 3 stars hotel.||Rooms are also dusty and we are the only group that were staying at the hotel that night. We had 9 rooms booked for the night and other than the 1 receptionist, the whole hotel seems lifeless.||Security also not good as when we requested for addition key as some might come back to the hotel earlier than others, we were told not allowed. And the receptionist will open the door to the rooms when either one comes back. Which means, no security as how would she remember who is staying at which room. Luckily as mentioned, only our group were staying there that night.||Breakfast was simple but ok, with the normal Pho and some bread...
Read moreVery disappointing stay. The bed was rock hard, the shower doors were broken, and I found a cockroach in the bathroom. The whole place felt old, dated, and not well maintained. After a bit of rain, the entire hotel smelled like a wet dog.
The free buffet breakfast was the worst I’ve had on this trip - I couldn’t even eat the bread, which says a lot. On top of that, the hotel cancelled our Booking.com reservation to avoid platform fees, then charged us extra “tax” per person, even though our booking was clearly for two people.
We were also woken up at 8:30am by housekeeping banging loudly on every door in the hallway, laughing the whole time, then saying “wrong room” as they walked off still laughing.
To top it all off, it was heavily overpriced for what we got - easily double the price of every other hotel we stayed at in Vietnam, yet offering only a quarter of the value.
The only positive was the location and the convenience of the HK tours stopping right out the front. Would...
