40six Beach Haus — Restaurant in Phú Quốc

I think this was the best meal we had in Vietnam. The location is beautiful, right on the beach, and nestled away into a quiet corner of the coast yet walking distance to a lovely strip with massage spas, street food, and barbers. The food was incredible and simple, with tons of flavor packed into a modest meal. Fresh seafood, exciting spices, and creative cocktails define this spectacular restaurant. The menu is short but everything is worth ordering. I recommend getting more than you think, because after trying one, two or three dishes you will wish you had four, five, or six! This place has a nice fit out, music which makes a good vibe.

Ordered the Lak cocktail, it was disappointing. To me it wasn’t very balanced, the taste of mango and sugar was very overpowering. My friend ordered a “horny apple” which was better but she had to add some lime juice balance out some of the sweetness.

We also had the pork loaded fries which were okay. I would order them again if u wanted a snack.

All in all, the venue is nice but I think the cocktails I had could be improved, mainly by balancing out the sweetness.

This was the best meal we’ve had in Vietnam so far! My only regret was not arriving earlier to view the sun set. We ordered the chicken wings, mango pizza, papaya salad, watermelon salad, burgers, fries, miso chicken.

Every meal was beautiful, probably wouldn’t order the water melon salad again but that was personal preference.

The flavours were an explosion in the mouth, presentation was lovely, service was very attentive, atmosphere was super cool. Views were amazing. Would easily recommend and will come back next time we’re...
