I am writing this with a heavy heart as I do support family run business but unfortunately I can't recommend this place at all to anyone.
I ordered the grilled pork shoulder with BBQ sauce as my main.
I asked the waitress if the steak comes covered in the sauce and if it can be done on a side, but due to the language barrier she wasn't able to understand and accommodate my small request, which wasn't a big issue.
They brought the pork shoulder steak and when I cut a piece of it I saw a reddish colour inside. Initially, I thought it is the BBQ sauce but when I cut the steak in the middle it was very rare. The steak was not cooked at all, even though the outer layer of the steak was quite burned/black. This makes me think that the meat was frozen when they started to prepare it.
I called the waitress and showed her that the steak is raw, she just took the plate from me and no other comments.
At this point, I lost my appetite as I was waiting for some time to receive the food already. The waitress brought back my steak after they cooked it more, which covered in extra BBQ sauce. Again it had uncooked parts, so I payed for food that I couldn't eat and enjoy.
If I could give 0 stars I would for my experience, not only that this establishment has zero customer service, also the freshness and quality of the produce is questionable.
As a closing note, if you are decided to give it a try anyway, please note that this place is not a restaurant which I initially assumed. It is in someone's yard/garden, so plenty of bugs, flies and mosquitos all...
Read moreI think it's a place that Koreans visit a lot. Most of the visitors were foreigners, and few locals seemed to visit. The person who seems to be a master at cooking makes all the food quickly. 👍👍 The kitchen was kept clean, and I liked it more because it was an open kitchen. Morning glory, fried noodles (seafood), and squid fries recommended by Google reviews were all delicious.
The card payment has to be made by an additional 3 percent, and the cashier gave me more change because of a mistake in the calculation when I paid in cash. I calculated it correctly and returned it to her. 😉 The food and atmosphere were good, and I like the clean kitchen as well as the Vietnamese atmosphere. If I stay in Phu Quoc for a long time, I think I will go there many times. I'm willing...
Read moreLooked like a nice and cute family owned restaurant off the main road. We arrived to Phu Quoc before we could check into our hotel around the corner so it was the perfect little spot to have some lunch after our flight. We ordered sautéed chicken and sweet & sour pork both with rice which was tasty and comforting. Young girl took our order gave very friendly service, children were playing uno, whilst it seemed the mums did the cooking so it was just the environment we needed after a busy morning of travel. We also stayed there for shelter for over an hour due to heavy rain that came in. They gave us a few bananas grown from the garden to try which was sweet of them. It was quiet and at the time we were only customers however highly recommend to visit this spot when...
