I would not come back, grateful for the experience, and my waitress was genuinely kind. The tandoori was low score imo.
I ordered the non veg tandoori full order (shrimp were good, mutton was dry and tough, chicken was old and dry, and some questionable white fish that tasted like scrambled egg... And a pandi parantha, which tasted like butter on cardboard Naan.
The Naan was a disc/Frisbee without much fresh, nor softeness to it. It was cardboard with hard with butter. But yes, I ate half, and left the other half untouched.
Did I eat all of the meat though? Yes, i ate it all because I was freaking hungry and it was my first meal of the day, 4pm. Allso, in restaurants, I'm never the person to speak up to complain to my server about the terrible food quality unless I see something appalling in my food but even then, I would probably just shut up and eat around it being thankful I have food to eat.
So why leave a low score review then?
Because I am sharing the truth with you, the reader. I'm not looking to get compensated a free meal, discount, eat it, and have the server take it back to bring me a full one...
Based on the food quality that I personally experienced today, I will not return.
But hey, it doesn't mean that you won't have a better food experience than...
Read moreGanesh Indian Restaurant in Phu Quoc is part of a well-known chain across Vietnam, and it truly lives up to its reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in the country. The food is absolutely top-notch and delicious, with authentic flavors that make you feel right at home.
One of the best things here is the huge portion sizes — for example, the masala dosa is massive, easily enough for 2 or even 3 people to share. Despite the generous portions, the prices are very pocket-friendly without any compromise on taste or quality. The menu offers a wide variety of both North and South Indian dishes, giving you endless options to choose from.
The staff are polite, attentive, and provide excellent service and hospitality, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for families, couples, or groups of friends.
If you’re in Phu Quoc and craving Indian food, Ganesh is a must-visit — great food, great value, and an overall...
Read moreVery disappointing. Would not go back. THIS IS one of the largest Indian restaurants in the area. It looked really busy which is often a good sign. But we left feeling very disappointed after our meal. The food was very bland and far below average. The papadum' s were not fresh. They were very small and looked like they were shop bought. The dips that they came with were very poor quality too. The service was awful. I asked several times for an extra plate. It never arrived. The staff seemed disinterested and despondent. The curries were bland with no real flavour. The only saving grace were the nan breads which were actually quite good. Overall the experience was really bad. There are 2 other Indian restaurants really close that are SO much better!!! See our other reviews of those on tripadvisor. I would recommend going to either of those instead. I have no idea why this restaurant seems so...
