Quite confident that this is the best seafood restaurant by far in Phú Quốc. Firstly, the atmosphere is very warm and exciting with big lights and an open floor plan. The staff is attentive;they can speak both English and Mandarin. Of course, most importantly the food is incredible! We got the lobster sashimi and the garlic fried lobster. The sashimi is very fresh and pleasant—not fishy at all. The staff can also make a delicious, flavorful porridge with the head which I highly recommend. The garlic fried lobster has firm, supple meat and very crispy garlic! We ordered a plethora of other dishes including seafood fried rice, steak, scallops, mantis shrimp, snails, and salad. All were delicious and beautifully served. A really impressive detail I noticed was that the vegetables and steak were really good. It’s really hard even in Saigon to find good steak and veggies, but Mai Huong does it effortlessly. The price is also reasonable for seafood—much less than the other restaurants! This place is a must try if you’re staying...
Read more🦞Good food. Most of the menu is about seafood. It was a bit tricky to order for two people but luckily there are several menu items that sell by the piece. With a large party, you'd definitely be able to get more variety. Waiters are helpful in discussing size and price of the "market price" items, and will invite you to the fish tank to align on the specific live seafood, its weight, and price. I appreciate the upfront and clear alignment on pricing. ✂️For the hard shell items (like lobster), you can ask waiter to cut it for you. 🪑Both indoor and outdoor seating available. We chose outdoors since the weather was nice; the string lights and the beach enhanced the ambiance. There are large fans to help dissipate the nasty cigarette smell from nearby smokers. 💳Takes credit cards...
Read moreTo our surprise, we found a truly decent place in this town. We ordered the soup and the salmon steak. The soup with tomatoes, pineapples, and shellfish was a pleasant surprise — the combination seemed unusual, but it worked really well and tasted great. The portion was generous, and sauces were served alongside. The salmon was a bit on the dry side, but overall quite good — it’s not easy to find perfectly cooked salmon in Asia, where it's not a common specialty. We didn’t try other seafood, so we can’t comment on that. The staff were kind and attentive: they cleared the shells, brought a bin, offered wet wipes before the meal, and served watermelon as a compliment afterward. Definitely...
